As only the fifth owners since 1760, J.R. and I are very fortunate to live in and be the current stewards of the historic Jabez Bacon House in Woodbury. Our home was recently featured in the Fall 2025 issue of Historic Homes Magazine. Here are the photos and write up. The most oft question we get is whether the house is haunted. It’s not haunted that we know of. Enjoy!

The Jabez Bacon House in Woodbury, CT and built in 1762. Just breathe taking!

Here are some views of our keeping room at the Jabez Bacon House. This room is off the modern kitchen and has the largest hearth. It’s the most rustic part of our house, the rest of which tends to be more formally furnished.
