Join us for some crafting! Get those creative juices flowing.

Saturday, September 19, 2026
Noon - 1 pm

Bring a friend or meet new friends. Perfect for mommy and me time, or some time with a friend, and a good excuse to get out of the house.

We will be working with pressed flowers, twigs, popsicle sticks, and twine to create a one-of-a-kind woodsy floral collage.

All ages, children and adults, are welcome! Pre-registration is required. All supplies will be provided.

This is a free program, we ask that you bring a non-perishable food item for our local food pantry. Call us to reserve your spot!

On this day… September 3, 1777

The first American flag was flown during the Revolutionary War. Adopted just three months earlier, the flag featured 13 stars and 13 stripes, representing the thirteen colonies that united to form a new nation.

From its earliest days, the Stars and Stripes was far more than a piece of cloth. It is a powerful symbol of freedom, unity, courage, and the sacrifices made by generations who fought to protect the ideals it represents. Through war and peace, triumph and hardship, our flag has continued to fly as a reminder of who we are and what we stand for.

Honor the flag. Remember those who sacrificed beneath it. Be grateful for the freedoms it represents.

Donated and Recommended by Lili

📚 Lili enjoys manga and anime, suspense/thriller novels, and dystopian fiction. She especially enjoys stories with mystery, imaginative worlds, and unexpected twists. She also likes to read non-fiction on her favorites subjects and hobbies, such as music.

📕 The Giver -by Lois Lowry

Twelve-year-old Jonas lives in a seemingly perfect community where everything is carefully controlled and everyone has a specific role. When Jonas is chosen for a unique and mysterious position, he begins learning truths about his society that challenge everything he has ever known. A thought-provoking story about individuality, freedom, memory, and what it really means to live.

Today is National Don’t Give Up Day!

Some of the most famous books exist today all because someone refused to give up. Writers face rejection. Inventors fail. Artists start over. Students struggle. People change direction, time and time again. Today is a little reminder from your local library that you don’t need to have everything figured out... You just have to keep turning the page. 😉

Take a moment today to reflect on something you’re happy you didn’t give up on. -Or something you gave up on that you are now motivated to revisit. We hope every rejection you face brings you one step closer to a wonderful new beginning! ❤️
