Sewaren Free Public Library would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to these amazing student volunteers from Rutgers University, who stopped by this afternoon for Scarlet Day of Service to help us with extending the plot for our Butterfly Garden. They spent all day weeding and shoveling the entire yard. Without their hard work, this would not have been possible, and we are so grateful for their time and effort!

Thanks to all their hard work, we’re now able to renovate and expand our Pollinator Garden and Monarch Butterfly Waystation in preparation for next season! Pollinator gardens play a vital role in restoring and protecting essential habitats and food sources for pollinators, which help sustain our ecosystems and global food supply. 🌸🐝🦋

Thank you all so much Baldwin, Avery, Jay, Jameela, Jazmin, Saniya, Janelle, Ian, Javan, Kayla, Rebecca, Paris, and Bryanna!

Another fun craft session! Flowers, butterflies, leaves, and whatnot; pressed between acrylic sheets and placed in a frame. Fitting the creations into a frame was a group effort. ( :

Turning Waste Into Waves!

Silver Award Project
Hosted by Girl Scout troop #83174

An impressive presentation from Girl Scout troop #83174, communicating their message while keeping the audience engaged from start to finish.

Breaking down the subject matter into smaller pieces went a long way in helping the audience to understand their mission.

Thank you to all who participated!
