4th-graders at MLG made paper airplanes and had a contest outside to see whose airplane could fly the furthest! This is a great example of how STEM concepts can be put into action to create engaging activities! Great job, fourth grade!

Just days before summer break, students at Mamie Lou Gross Elementary School were busy exploring possible futures during the school’s exciting Career Day on May 19. Community professionals from across Camden County visited the school to give students a hands-on look at a wide variety of careers. From climbing aboard rescue boats to flying drones and learning dance routines, students experienced an engaging day filled with real-world learning. The staff of Mamie Lou Gross Elementary appreciated all of the presenters who volunteered their time and talents to inspire students and introduce them to the many career opportunities available in their community and beyond.

We celebrated our amazing fifth-graders during their Fifth Grade Walk and End-of-Year awards ceremony! ✨🥳
As they walked the halls of their elementary school one last time, surrounded by cheers, smiles, and proud memories , we were reminded just how much they have grown over the years. From curious little learners to confident leaders, this class has left a special mark on our school.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients and to every fifth-grader as you take this exciting next step toward middle school. We are so proud of your hard work, kindness, and accomplishments. Keep dreaming big, working hard, and believing in yourselves - the best is yet to come!

As part of their end-of-year celebrations, 5th-graders participated in a Color Run! From start to finish, students ran, laughed, and got covered in bright colors while making memories during this exciting celebration! What a fun way for our students to celebrate the end of their elementary school journey. We are so proud of this amazing group oof students and can't wait to see all of the great things ahead for them!

We had a SPLASH-tastic day at Mamie Lou Gross for our Water Day!
Students who met all four of their Accelerated Reader goals were invited to participate in a variety of activities. Students had an unforgettable time enjoying giant water slides, exciting water games, a super fun foam party, and even a visit from a fire truck! From laughter and teamwork to soaking wet smiles, Water Day was the perfect way to celebrate our students' hard work!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day safe, fun, and full of memories our students will never forget.
