Today, as our community gathers for barbecues, parades, and time with loved ones, the men and women of the Wolverine Lake Police Department ask you to join us in pausing for a moment of true reflection.

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer—it is a sacred day of remembrance.

Today and tomorrow, we honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. They laid down their lives so that we could live in freedom, safety, and peace.

To the Gold Star families in our community: we see you, we support you, and we carry the memory of your loved ones in our hearts. Their sacrifice—and yours—will never be forgotten.

As a law enforcement agency, we are deeply familiar with the weight of the badge and the cost of service. We are profoundly grateful for the military heroes who stood on the front lines for all of us.

This weekend, let us enjoy our freedom, but let us also remember the heavy price at which it was bought.

Have a safe, meaningful, and blessed Memorial Day.

Penny Lake Estates Water System BOIL WATER ADVISORY NOTICE LIFTED
Wednesday 5/20/2026 10:00 AM

Be advised that the boil water advisory that was issued by Village of Wolverine Lake has been lifted. It is no longer necessary to use boiled or bottled water for drinking or cooking.

On May 12, 2026 you were notified of the need to boil all tap water for drinking and cooking.
It was found that a check valve was not working properly, and allowing water to trickle back into the well, causing the Total Coliform results. That well was taken off line until a replacement check valve can be located and replaced. Corrective measures have been taken and no coliform bacteria have been detected in follow-up testing of the system's water. The Coliform Bacteria was only detected in the pump house sampling tap and never in distribution.
The notice to boil was out of an abundance of caution to protect the community.

The water is safe to drink. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and business). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

For more information, please contact Andrew Stone 248-926-6058 or [email protected].

This notice is being sent to you by The Village of Wolverine Lake for Penny Lake Estates community water System WSSN # 5235.

The Wolverine Lake Police Department is creating a confidential Emergency Contact Database to help our officers and dispatchers quickly reach a trusted friend, family member, or neighbor when needed.

There are many situations where having an emergency contact can be extremely helpful, including:

• Vacation house checks
• Medical emergencies
• Suspicious circumstances at your home
• Open doors or unsecured property
• Welfare checks
• Situations where we are unable to reach you directly
• Situations where there are individuals with autism or dementia living at the residence

By providing us with the name and phone number of someone you trust, our officers will have an additional resource to contact if there is an urgent situation involving your home or your well-being.

Participation is completely VOLUNTARY, and the information will be kept CONFIDENTIAL and used only by the Police Department and dispatch personnel for emergency or police-related purposes.

If you would like to be included in this database, please send me an email to [email protected] with the following information:
• Your name
• Home address
• Primary phone number
• Emergency contact name
• Relationship to you
• Emergency contact phone number
• Any other information you feel is important

This program is designed to enhance communication and provide an added level of safety and peace of mind for our residents. There are many residents who do not have Facebook. If you know of a neighbor who may want to be added to our list, please share this information with them.

If you have any questions, please contact me directly.
Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.

Respectfully,
The Wolverine Lake Police Department

Warmer weather is here, and we’re already seeing increased activity in our parks and on the trails.

This is a friendly reminder about the Village’s golf cart rules—please take a moment to review them in the link below.

As always, be mindful of others of all ages traveling throughout the Village. A little extra awareness goes a long way in keeping everyone safe and enjoying the season.

Thank you for your cooperation and have a safe, enjoyable spring!

This remains a very active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released by the West Bloomfield Police Department and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office as it becomes available.
