File directly through the Montana Secretary of State at [biz.sosmt.gov](https://biz.sosmt.gov).

Montana businesses should not pay $150 to an out-of-state solicitation for a 2027 Annual Report filing.

Selling internationally can create a concern most businesses understand very well: What happens if the customer does not pay? Export credit insurance through the Export-Import Bank of the United States can help protect eligible foreign accounts receivable against certain commercial and political risks.

This may help businesses:
• Reduce the risk of nonpayment
• Offer more competitive payment terms
• Protect cash flow
• Pursue international customers with greater confidence

Montana’s STEP grant may also reimburse some of the eligible cost of EXIM export credit insurance. The GNDC Small Business Development Center can help you learn more and connect you with the appropriate Export Montana or EXIM representative.
