When your old infant teacher is just on the other side of the window… 🥹❤️
These little ones may have moved on from the infant classroom, but they definitely haven’t forgotten Miss. Nausika! 🥰 They spotted their former teacher through the window and couldn’t resist stopping to say hi. The smiles, little hands waving, and excitement say it all! 👋❤️

It’s such a beautiful reminder that the bonds children make with their teachers don’t end when they move to a new classroom. The love, comfort, and memories they build stay with them. 🥹💕
Once you’re their teacher, you’re always their teacher! ❤️👶🏼🫶🏼

Friendship starts young. At children’s village, little ones begin learning some of life’s most important lessons—how to share, care, listen, and make a friend.
The friendships they build through play, laughter, and everyday moments can create memories that last far beyond their early years. It’s beautiful to watch friendships blossom from the very beginning.

🍦☀️ Ice Cream Truck Day at Children’s Village! ☀️🍦
What better way to cool off on a summer day than with a visit from the ice cream truck?! Our children had so much fun choosing their favorite treats and enjoying a sweet summer surprise. 🥳🍦
A special part of today was that the children paid for their own ice cream with assistance from their teachers! 💵 This was a wonderful opportunity to practice counting, making choices, communicating, and learning about money in a fun, hands-on way.
We loved watching their excitement as they picked out their treats and proudly made their purchases! ❤️🍨
A big thank you to our amazing teachers for helping make this such a fun and meaningful experience for our children!

Our preschool class had a very special guest reader! 📚❤️
Inviting guest readers into the classroom helps children see that reading is fun, meaningful, and enjoyed by people of all ages. It builds early literacy skills, encourages a love of books, strengthens connections between home and school, and creates lasting memories for our little learners.

🐍🦎 Reptiles, Curiosity, and Hands-On Learning! 🐢✨

We were thrilled to welcome Harris in Wonderland to Children's Village for an exciting reptile adventure! Our children had the opportunity to observe, touch, and learn about a variety of amazing reptiles while asking questions and exploring the unique characteristics of each animal.

This interactive experience directly supports the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) by fostering curiosity, scientific inquiry, and language development.

As children observed the reptiles, compared their features, and discussed what they noticed, they strengthened important skills in observation, communication, and critical thinking. Hands-on experiences like these also encourage children to build confidence as they explore the natural world and develop respect and appreciation for living things.

💦☀️ Splashing into learning during water play! ☀️💦
Water play is much more than just a fun way to cool off—it's a valuable learning experience that supports many areas of the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS)!
As children pour, scoop, measure, and explore, they are:
💧 Building fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
💧 Exploring early math concepts like volume, measurement, and comparison.
💧 Developing scientific thinking by making observations, asking questions, and experimenting with cause and effect.
💧 Expanding language skills as they describe what they see, share ideas, and engage in conversations with friends and teachers.
💧 Strengthening social-emotional skills through turn-taking, cooperation, problem-solving, and teamwork.

We were excited to welcome Farm on Wheels to Children's Village! 🐐🐰🐥🐑
Our children had the opportunity to meet, pet, and learn about a variety of friendly farm animals right here at school! This hands-on experience encourages curiosity, builds confidence, and teaches children about animals, nature, and caring for living things in a fun and engaging way.
We were excited to see all the smiles and excitement as our little learners enjoy this special visit. 🚜🌾💚

🎓✨ Congratulations to our Children's Village Preschool Class of 2026! ✨🎓
Today we celebrated an incredible group of preschool graduates! We are so proud of how much each child has learned, grown, and blossomed throughout the year.
