The Lions Club is hosting the 2026 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at 8:30 am at Lions Park Horn Pond on September 11th, 2026.

For those who cannot easily manage the walk to the park, the Woburn Host Lions Club offers transportation from the Lake Avenue parking lot to the garden. For details and to arrange a ride, contact them in advance by email at [email protected]

The Keating-Doran City-Wide Junior Golf Tournament Celebrates Another Successful Year

The tournament brought together more than 50 young golfers for a fun-filled day of golf, camaraderie, and community spirit.

This long-standing annual tournament is hosted by the Woburn Golf and Ski Authority in conjunction with the Woburn Recreation Department and is open to young golfers ages 8–17. Each year, the tournament provides an opportunity for Woburn’s youth to enjoy the game of golf while building friendships and creating lasting memories on the course.

The tournament honors two individuals who have made lasting contributions to junior golf in Woburn: Bucksie Keating and Bob Doran. Bucksie was a longtime supporter of the junior golf program at Woburn Country Club. Bob Doran served as Woburn High School’s golf coach for many years and, through his guidance and dedication, helped lead the team to numerous state championship titles.

It's official. The New Boston Street Bridge is scheduled to open Thursday, September 3rd at Noon.

Signage and police details will be available to help direct the new traffic flow.

A naming ceremony will be held in a few weeks nearby.
