Wood County ARES/ RACES/AUXC, in cooperation with Midwest Emergency Radio Communicators, Portage County ARES/RACES and Central Sands Amateur Radio Inc. Are offering a technician license workshop! This workshop will be held in Portage County, at the Town of Hull Fire Department, just outside of Stevens Point. This workshop will be one full day (Saturday), and part of Sunday, with testing about lunch time on Sunday. Immediately after testing, we will be offering an Elmering and Operating opportunity on-site because the Wisconsin QSO Party starts at 1 p.m. on March 15. We will have Elmers available to show you the ropes of on-air Operating.

A couple key things to make sure you know ahead of time:
- RSVP's are a must. An email address is on the photo below. You can also reply to this original post with an email and we will get back to you.
- In order to test, you must have an FRN issued by the Federal Communications Commission.
- Advanced study is also a must. Hamstudy.org and the W4EEY YouTube channel are are your best options for studying on the go. ARRL also has license manuals if hard copy books are more your style.

We hope to see you the second weekend of March!

We are excited to invite you to join us for our post conference gathering at Savory Steakhouse Fine/Casual Dining (4320 80th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids) right after the Conference (or about 5:15pm) on Saturday, November 2nd. We have a nice, large group attending our Saturday Social this year!

John, our host, is requesting orders in advance to ensure quality food preparation, service, and the best meal for you. Please take a few minutes to glance at the menu prior to Saturday's dinner and if you find something that captures your eye, please give The Savory a call directly to let them know what you want. They are reachable at: (715) 712-1330. John would much appreciate any pre-orders.

Here's a link to the Savory menu:
