Railroad Crossing Closures Detours 9/14/2026 through 9/25/2026.

The railroad crossings on STH 54 in the Village of Biron (between 32nd Street North and 36th Street North) and Village of Plover (between Grant Avenue and Nassau Boulevard) are set to close for repair from Monday, 09/14/26 through Friday, 09/25/26. This is a hard closure and will likely generate traffic issues, specifically with semitrucks. The road will be shut down about 100’ on both sides of the tracks; however, all side roads will remain open. STH 54 will remain open to traffic between the railroad crossings, and the lane closures already in place will remain. During the nights between 7pm through 6am, the railroad tracks will be open for trains to travel. Due to the construction, trains will need to sound their horns through the areas, which obviously has the potential for noise complaints for those areas. The truck route provided by WisDOT will be: I39 to STH 66 to STH 13/34. (Contact information noted on map below)
