Eastern Ohio Correction Center is proud to recognize Anthony Vitt, Substance Use Counselor and Community Service Liaison, as the 2026 recipient of the International Community Justice Association (ICJA) Mission Award!
Anthony received this prestigious recognition at the 2026 ICJA Research Conference in Columbus, Ohio.
Since joining EOCC in 2017, Anthony has dedicated himself to helping individuals build better lives for themselves and their families. Through his work coordinating community service, he has also provided countless opportunities for EOCC residents to give back and make a positive impact throughout our local communities.
Anthony’s story makes this recognition even more meaningful. Before becoming an employee, Anthony successfully completed the EOCC program himself. Today, he uses his lived experience to connect with, encourage, and support the individuals we serve—truly demonstrating what it means to “pay it forward.”
The ICJA Mission Award recognizes an individual who puts the mission of community justice into practice, and Anthony exemplifies that mission through his dedication to our residents and our community.
