Wow what a rotary meeting, there were so many people
We needed an extra table. There were members of the Rotary Interact club from the high school that came to our meeting, we had student of the month presentation to Ethan Layne, and the Governor from Distict 5160, Ken Courville came for a visit. Governor Ken spoke on the 10 challenges that he would like the Winters Rotary club to accomplish
The first 3 was to have fun in Rotary, the next was to keep
Members engaged, have more fun, continue to support The Rotary foundation, so that the projects that Rotarians do will continue, have some more fun, keep supporting the Youth, Interact, Rotaract, camp venture, camp royal, youth exchange, have some more fun, the community knows that rotary is here doing things.
Governor Ken wants the club to keep track of random acts of kindness , we will see how many notes will be in the box
Governor Ken and his wife gave an award to a Rotarian in our club, for the Rotarian was being gift to the world.

This week, September 17,our Rotary meeting will be honored to have this years District 5160 GOVENOR, Ken Courville, visiting. Governor Ken is a member of the Dixon Rotary club.

This coming Thursday, September 10, our newest Rotarian, Winters Superintendents of Schools Todd Cutler will be the program speaker. He will be speaking on the direction of the education in Winters.
Next week, September 17, District Governor Ken Courville will be visiting the Rotary Club of Winters

Saturday, May 30th, Rotary District 5160 Rotarians at Recess Polio Motorcycle event. Starts at 9:00 am at the Donut Queen, Alamo Plaza, Vacaville and ends at Plainfield Station Bar and Grill on County road 89. Woodland. Rotary social to follow from 2:30 to 5:30 All Proceeds goes to Polio Plus, to help end the fight to make sure no child is disabled by polio ever again

Saturday, June 6th, Annual Trap Shoot at the Yolo Gun Club, starting at 9:30 am and ending with a tri tip lunch and raffles

Saturday, June 6th, Fishing derby in Rotary Park, Rotary is doing a fundraiser by selling beer.

Wednesday, June 17, 2015, Demotion Night, President Joe Trotter will be demoted from the position of president. Party starts at Viona's house, 6:00 pm

Today at the Rotary meeting, the program was a general club meeting. The topics, Winters Youth day Rotary Breakfast which will start at 6:30am on Saturday, April 25, 2015, Rotarian with knives, prep party the night before, to cut all the potatoes and fruit. The next topic was the Rotary District 5160 motor cycle ride on May 30, 2015 starting in Vacaville, the proceeds goes to Polio Plus. Topic # 4 was the Annual Trap Shoot, on the date of June 6th. Topic # 5 was the annual Winters clean up day, do general cleaning all over the city, ending with a BBQ in Rotary Park on May 2, 2015 starting at 9:00 am. Topic # 6 the Last Call before the Wreaking Ball, the demolition of JJ Bar on the corner of Railroad and Abbey, fundraiser for the Rotary High school Scholarships.
Topic #7, setting up a committee for plan an eventful dinner, entertainment, raffles and lots of fun, for Friday, September 18th.
