Good afternoon, Winters! Many of you may have seen a new addition to our fire family off of County Road 88. The 5 Connex, two-story structure is the new fire department training tower. This tower was funded by a grant graciously provided by AgWest. This new tower will allow for multiple types of firefighters' skills and evolutions, including live-fire burns. This week, we will be conducting multiple live fire burns on Tuesday and Wednesday in partnership with the Solano Community College Fire Academy as they wrap up their last evolutions to graduate and earn their CA State Fire Marshal Certifications. If you see smoke in the area, please don't be alarmed, as it's just training.

Winters Fire is proud to be hosting another National Fire Academy Class. WUI Firefighting for the Structural Company Officer will be held May 30 and 31. This is a great class for any officer or upcoming officer in a WUI environment, and just in time for the wildland season.

In recognition of Autism Awareness month, Winters Fire will be hosting a Sensory Friendly Fire Station Tour on April 29th, 2026, from 5-6 pm at the Fire Station. Come down to meet the firefighters, see the station and equipment in an environment that will be sensory friendly.
