The Winter Springs Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to Walmart of Casselberry and the Bridegan Foundation for providing our agency with a Bexley Box.

Bexley Boxes are designed to help law enforcement officers provide immediate comfort and support to children during times of crisis. Each box contains essential items and age-appropriate comfort resources for young children who may be experiencing trauma or uncertainty.

We are grateful for the opportunity to better serve and support the children and families in our community during difficult circumstances.

The Winter Springs Police Department is conducting a school supply drive to support students of all ages in our community. We are accepting donations of new and unopened school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, and other essential items. Plain backpacks for all ages are especially needed and are our highest priority this year. All contributions will directly benefit local students as they prepare for the upcoming academic year. Donations may be dropped off at two designated locations, and all items must be received by July 31. We sincerely appreciate your support and commitment to the success of our community’s youth.

Burn Ban Reinstated in Seminole County🚫

Due to ongoing drought conditions, the Seminole County burn ban has been automatically reinstated after the KBDI once again reached the threshold established by County Code.

The burn ban will remain in effect until conditions improve and the drought index remains below 500 for seven consecutive days, or until further notice.

Residents are urged to use caution with outdoor activities that could spark a fire and to stay informed of changing conditions.

Summer storms and hurricane season can bring heavy rain, strong winds, flooding, and quickly changing road conditions.

Before heading out, take a moment to make sure your vehicle is ready for the weather. Check your tires, windshield wipers, headlights, and fuel level. Be prepared for reduced visibility, debris in the roadway, standing water, and traffic signal outages after severe weather.

If you come across an intersection with inoperable traffic lights, treat it as a four-way stop and proceed with caution.

Week 1 of our Community Youth Outreach (CYO) program is officially in the books!

We've had an incredible time with this year's participants so far. From behind-the-scenes demonstrations with our SWAT and K-9 units to cooling off with icy pops courtesy of Action Church and enjoying team sports, the week was filled with learning, fun, and memorable experiences.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first week such a success. We're looking forward to another exciting week of CYO and the opportunity to create even more positive experiences this summer!

Winter Springs Police are investigating a recent fraud incident that took place on March 9th, 2026, at the Dollar General located at 310 E. SR 434, Winter Springs involving two individuals who used a deceptive method to load gift cards and obtain cash.

The Winter Springs Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Roland Cesar as the Officer of the Month for June 2026.

Officer Cesar was nominated for his "demonstrated exceptional dedication, initiative, and professionalism while supporting both his fellow officers and the community."

Recently, while helping to find a missing endangered woman and her infant, Officer Cesar's resourcefulness and dedication resulted in the safe recovery of both mother and child without incident.

His professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to service reflect great credit upon himself and the department. We proudly congratulate Officer Cesar on this well‑deserved honor.
