Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida

Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida The DSACF's purpose is to serve as a family support and referral organization for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Founded by a handful of families of young children with Down syndrome in 1991, the DSACF has grown to serve more than 1000 families throughout Central Florida, as well as 12,000 friends and supporters. The DSACF provides disability awareness training for physicians, educators, other healthcare providers as well as Welcome Packets for Newly Diagnosed Families. In addition to monthly support meetings, the DSACF is the proud host of the Florida State Down Syndrome Conference, a free medical clinic in partnership with Arnold Palmer Hospital's Developmental Center, free family fun days at Universal Studios and SeaWorld, free IEP support and educational evaluations from the Down Syndrome Center (Jacksonville) and much more.

We’re excited to announce that our NEW Little Chefs program is expanding to include ages 10–15!

Young chefs will have the chance to build kitchen skills, try simple recipes, explore healthy eating and nutrition, and have fun cooking together. Parents, your participation is required, making this a great opportunity to learn and create alongside your child.

If your child is ages 10–15 and loves to be in the kitchen, register today and let’s get cooking!

💙 September is NICU Awareness Month 💛

This month, we’re honoring the babies with Down syndrome who began their journeys in the NICU, the families who stood by their sides, and the incredible NICU teams who cared for them along the way.

A NICU stay may be part of their story, but it doesn’t define their future. These little fighters grow, thrive, laugh, love, and remind us every day just how much is possible.

To every NICU family: you are not alone. Your community is here.

Wishing our DSACF community a safe and happy Labor Day!
