Florida Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani handed a ceremonial check for $500,000 to Share the Care, Inc. today. This State of Florida Fixed Capital Outlay grant will directly support the Building a Caregiver Community project. Representative Dr. Eskamani and Florida Senator Darryl Ervin Rouson are both champions for Florida’s family caregivers and were instrumental in securing this funding. Other guests at today’s event included Orange County Commissioner Dr. Kelly Semrad, members of the Share the Care Board of Directors, Share the Care supporters, and Share the Care Staff. Thank you to everyone who came out to help celebrate this wonderful accomplishment.

Thank you to all the family caregivers, sponsors, vendors, speakers, and more who came out for A Caregiver Renewal Experience, August 13 & 14 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. It was a great time for family caregivers to take a break and meet with other families going through their own caregiver journey. Stay tuned for future caregiver wellness events from Share the Care!

A Caregiver Renewal Experience is happening now! Attendees were treated to a keynote address by Dr. Jamie Huysman, breakout sessions in art therapy and fitness, and time with community caregiver vendors. More to come!
