Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center

Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center ADRC provides information, resources, training, support and care coaching to care partners.

The Alzheimerโ€™s & Dementia Resource Center (ADRC) is the source for care partners with persons who are living with Alzheimer's disease (AD) or other form of dementia in Central Florida since 1984. Our team of professionals provides thousands of care partners with the educational and professional resources, vital information, and emotional support they need to care for their persons living with AD or other form of dementia and equally important, themselves. We serve our diverse community with respect for all, regardless of age, gender identification, race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, or marital status. Our team provides a nurturing, compassionate and science based environment where you can learn about Alzheimerโ€™s disease and dementia-related illnesses, share your experiences as a care partner, hear from others in the same situation, and seek trusted advice from our dedicated team members. ADRC is one of the two gateway organizations in Florida that coordinate enrollment and participation in the State of Florida Brain Bank Research study, a post mortem study that is seeking a cure for Alzheimer's disease. ADRC also provides wellness workshops that provide science based information promoting life style choices that have been shown to reduce one's risk of developing AD and other chronic illnesses.

A diagnosis may change how someone communicates, remembers, or experiences the world, but it does not change their value as a person.

Small shifts in how we respond, listening without correcting, offering reassurance, and meeting people where they are, can make a meaningful difference.

Let's work together to create a more dementia-friendly community, because no one should walk the dementia journey alone. ๐Ÿ’œ
