First and foremost, I thank my loving and sovereign God who has a divine plan in all of this for my good and His glory. Christ is my King, and He will always be my unmovable Rock. Whether I won or lost, my goal was always to please Him. I thank my wonderful wife, Hannah. You are the jewel that God has given me and without your support, I couldn’t have done anything. You have graciously placed many things in our life “on hold” throughout all of this and I am grateful for your unwavering dedication - in all things. To all of our children, thank you for your support and patience during this rigorous process. This campaign has taken much of my time away from you, but you have been gracious to understand.
I want to thank John Lynn for your astounding and tireless effort in this campaign. I have been stunned by your commitment to this cause, and I surely could not have done it without you. You carried the brunt of the work and your dedication to turn our communities back toward Christ is refreshing. Also, to Keri Cady for taking great care as the campaign treasurer. Your commitment, hard work, and eye for detail were crucial to this campaign. “Thank you” to my friend, Kim Davis for partnering with me throughout this process. Even when your campaign was over, you remained committed to seeing mine through. I’ll miss the many conversations and laughs that we had along the way. It was truly a joy to work with you.
Special thanks to Royal Brown and Glynnda White and all the volunteers from Winter Haven 9/12, you all were the “boots on the ground” throughout this campaign. Thank you for your prayers, time, and effort. What a blessing it has been to get to know you all. I look forward to a great relationship with you all in the years to come. As well Jim Abney, Jack Hilligoss, and all the people with Project 17. You all were the reason I was convinced to run in the first place. Thank you for your dedicated support and encouragement. Thanks to Dave Holt for organizing the call and walking lists, which gave us direction. Your time and effort are not to go unnoticed. I want to thank Linda Kitch, Linda Sandel, Rich Otter, and all those who helped hand out palm cards and wave signs. Bobby, Peg, Deitz, Rocky, Mary G., Drucilia, and many, many more. Thank you to Rosalind, Jean, Mary G., and all those who made phone calls. You’re the best!
Also, I am thankful for all those who made generous financial contributions. Your dedication to conservative causes and your local government was made clear by your generosity. I am humbled to have received so much enthusiastic support.
Congratulations to Clifton Dollison! I hope that God will be pleased to use you on the city commission for His glory and the good of our city.
Lastly, I want to thank the members of Southside Baptist Church who fully supported me during this endeavor. Thank you for giving me your blessing to do this and your patience through this long process.
