Today marks the first day of the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season. As Floridians, we are familiar with the damage hurricanes and tropical storms can bring. Now is the time to prepare.

It’s important to begin assembling an emergency supply kit with essential items your family may need in the event of a storm or other emergency. The Florida Division of Emergency Management offers valuable resources, including the Disaster Supply Kit Checklist, to help families build an emergency kit and develop a plan before severe weather arrives.

🏡Governor DeSantis calls for a Special Session to address Property Tax Relief!

Today in Tampa, I outlined the Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes plan that will eliminate taxes on homesteads. 

Property tax revenue collected by local governments has nearly doubled in the past seven years (from $32 billion to $60 billion) and is expected to reach an astounding $83 billion by 2032.

Florida homeowners need relief. Now is the time to stand up for taxpayers, enact a historic reform, and save the home of every Floridian.

😍A FULL HOUSE & FULL AGENDA at our May luncheon!😍

✨We began with the symbolic memorial MISSING MAN TABLE, in honor of Memorial Day and a salute to our fallen service members. A BIG thanks to our Guest Speakers, Chris Messina for Orange County and Bonnie Jackson - Candidate for Florida House District 42, who shared their background work experience & vision for our great state and county.

We were also so lucky to meet and hear from strong Republican candidates during our Candidates Corner and appreciate each of them for taking time out of their busy schedules to join and support us this month!!

Some Floridians don’t realize Florida is a closed primary state.

Your party registration decides which ballot you are given to vote in the primary.

Republicans get a Republican ballot for the primary.

Democrats vote for the Democrat candidates.

No Party Affiliation... they usually do not have an NPA candidate for the primary ballot.

You must be registered to vote by July 20th to be able to cast a vote in the Florida primary.

August 18th is the primary election.
