I was honored to attend the MLK Jr. celebration at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, followed by The Chronicle’s MLK, Jr. Breakfast today. Both gatherings were powerful reminders of Dr. King’s legacy and the responsibility that comes with serving our community.

We were reminded that when taking public office, it is imperative that we never forget where we came from, the struggles that paved the way, and the people that helped us along the way that we are called to serve. Moments like these ground us, inspire us, and challenge us to lead with humility, purpose, and commitment to our community.

As the filing period for the election comes to a close, I find myself filled with deep gratitude and reflection. I am thankful for the opportunity to step forward and to begin this next chapter in December 2026/January 2027.

I’m truly looking forward to working closely with my current office to ensure a thoughtful, smooth transition, grounded in professionalism and collaboration. I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming support, encouragement, and love shown to me by my friends and community. Words cannot fully express how grateful I am.

Great evening at the Ultimate Candidate Meet and Greet at the Kernersville Library. Grateful for the opportunity to connect with community members, answer thoughtful questions, and hear what matters most to them.

Events like this also provide a valuable chance to collaborate and engage with fellow candidates — strengthening the shared goal of serving our community.

Braving the bitter cold at the Lewisville parade was so worth it — because nothing warms you up like community love and support. ❄️❤️ Smiles, waves, and friendly conversations reminded me that even on the coldest days, our community shows up for one another in the warmest ways.

The evening wrapped up on a high note at the Ardmore Dems meeting. It was awesome getting to meet neighbors and connect with fellow Democrats who care deeply about our community and the work ahead. Grateful for nights like this that leave you feeling energized, encouraged, and proud to be part of such a supportive community.

What a great time at the Rural Hall parade! 🎉🍬 So many families out enjoying the day, smiling faces everywhere, and plenty of candy flowing through the crowd. Moments like this remind me how special our community is — fun, friendly, and full of heart. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a wonderful event!
