What a good adoption day!

We had so many happy moments at the shelter today as some of our animals found their forever families!

A huge congratulations to everyone who adopted today. Thank you for opening your hearts and homes to shelter pets and giving them the fresh start they deserve.

We are so excited for all of our newly adopted pets and their families. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful adventures ahead!

We’re giving Beasley a little extra love today because he is currently our longest-in-care dog.

Beasley is still waiting for the family who will see what a special boy he is and give him the chance to be part of a family of his own. Sometimes the animals who have been waiting the longest just need the right person to come along.

The first night in foster might not look like much.

A dog finally sleeping somewhere quiet.

A scared cat slowly coming out from under the bed.

A kitten curled up in a warm blanket.

A mama cat getting a peaceful room to raise her babies.

But to them?

It can mean everything.

For a little while, the shelter sounds disappear.

There's a soft place to sleep.

There's someone nearby.

And they get the chance to simply be an animal in a home again. ❤️

That's what foster families give them.

Not perfection.

Not forever.

Just somewhere safe for right now.

And sometimes, right now is exactly what they need.

We provide food, supplies, medical care, and support.

We have a mama and her 5 babies who have a rescue ready and waiting for them! ❤️ Now we just need a driver to help get this little family to Durham.

Slurpee is having a great time in his foster home and showing just how wonderful he is. We love seeing him comfortable, happy, and getting to enjoy some time outside of the shelter.

Now, Slurpee is hoping his foster stay will lead him to what he’s really waiting for: his forever home! ❤️

Our shelter is at capacity for cats🐱🐈

Please consider adopting- our fee is just $5!

We need to move out at least 5 kennels of kitties into foster or adoptive homes by tomorrow afternoon to make space for new arrivals. Remember: Fostering is free, and all supplies are provided!

Please comment on this post if you could foster a cat or kitten and pick up tomorrow 9-11 AM.
