Project "UP"

Project "UP" Project "UP!" is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to empower homeless women and children and women in crisis to propel, excel, and soar!

Dr. Fran and her mother, Mildred Hash; better known to the world as Mother Hash, the International Mother and Humanitarian Extraordinaire raise funds for the Women’s Shelter to support their mission of peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all targeting homeless women and women with children living in shelters. The Prestigious Mildred T. Hash Torch Award gives sponsorships to women in shelters

who complete the Life Skills programs to help them reestablish themselves back into stability.. The Hawley House is a Women’s Substance Abuse Recovery Facility that houses women for a period of 9 – 12 months and offers 6 months of aftercare for women ages 18 and older diagnosed with the disease of addiction. Hawley House provides women with training in personal development, group counseling, job assistance, housing assistance, and more to assure that women maintain their sobriety and become an important part of our community. This program is the only licensed women’s substance abuse recovery facility in Forsyth County. Over the past year, the Hawley House programming was instrumental in reuniting 13 families, provided 365 days of housing, served 11,490 meals, enrolled 16 women in recovery services, provided 312 individual and 52 group counseling sessions, 80 referrals, over 1500 rides to work and provided 26 weeks of case management. In 2010, 69% of the residents learned to change the way they think and live, 81% of the residents completed all of their short and long term goals, 50% were able to find and keep employment. People, businesses, churches, and organizations from across the country are lining up to assist with this worthy cause. Plans for 2014 have been orchestrated and will be disclosed the first quarter of the New Year. A weekly update conference call (1-832-551-5900 Pin 124177 #) will be held EVERY Monday at 12:30 and 8:30 PM starting in January. Write checks and donations to The Hawley House. A new report released Monday shows that about one in 30 American children was homeless at some point last year. That's about 2.5 million kids, and an 8 percent increase to "an historic high," according to the study from the National Center on Family Homelesness. Just over half are younger than six years old.

Love this lady, my mentor and coach. Doing my best to follow in her footsteps. She came to our Success Conference in 2014 and blessed us abundantly. She had a special private session with women from shelters to show them how they have a call on their lives in spite of their circumstances. AWESOME! TeamProjectUp.org

On Christmas Day 26 years ago, I was bitter, hateful & wanted to KILL MYSELF when I heard an audible voice telling me to Pick Up My Mat and WALK!! I was a homeless woman who was about to sell my body for a line of co***ne. I was a wicked, filthy mess!! Who's voice spoke to me?? That was the voice of my Savior!! Ohhh that HE would love me...right in that filthy mess...what I had done with my life was so wicked and yet HE LOVED ME and directed me to a different life. He directed me to start a business from the truck of my car and a pay phone booth on 12/26/1990 and within two years, I had made my first million dollars!! I was 21 & homeless!!

Friend, do you hear me? Today, giving millions to help kids who are in REAL need!! Give me a break!! Look what God can do with a MESS. He took me from being a w***e, messed up on drugs to being a best selling author, international speaker, radio/TV show host...best of all a wife and mother of 5 with 8 grandkids.

You NEVER know when your life is going to CHANGE!! You NEVER know when the step you're about to take is going to take YOU far beyond anything you could have EVER imagined!!

I am so grateful that Jesus was born!! I am so grateful He loves me & you!! I am so grateful that the mess we make with ourselves is NOT permanent but that HE GIVES US A CHANCE to FOLLOW HIM to greater places and plans.
