Aunque queremos que nuestra comunidad se abstenga de abusar de las dr**as, también queremos brindarles las herramientas para tomar decisiones más seguras. Nuestro Centro de Detención tiene una máquina expendedora de Narcan en su vestíbulo, gratuita y abierta al público. Visítanos durante el horario comercial y toma lo que necesites. Este simple aerosol podría salvar una vida.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wants our community to stay safe this summer. Naloxone (Narcan) is a life-saving medication intended to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It is a pre-filled nasal spray, so simple anyone can administer it. Though we want our community to refrain from abusing drugs, we also want to give you the tools to make safer decisions. Our Detention Center has a Narcan Vending machine in its lobby, free and open to the public. Please visit us during business hours and grab what you need. This one simple spray could save a life.

We want to thank one of our Forsyth County business partners, Princess House, for donating to the Sheriff's Office through Deputy Holley, one of our Community Policing Deputies. Princess House donated numerous items of cookware to the Sheriff's Office. These items were used to replace a lot of the outdated and worn items in the Telecommunicator kitchen. Telecommunicators work around the clock, and often cook in the office during their shifts. This gesture goes a long way in making their kitchen feel like home.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office invites the community to attend Beyond the Call!

This special event honors the heroes of Forsyth County. We are proud of the men and women who put their lives on the line each day to keep our community safe, and we are especially grateful for those first responders who go above and beyond the call of duty in service to others. We also recognize and celebrate the dedicated civilian professionals who work behind the scenes to keep our public safety agencies running smoothly and effectively every day.

The ceremony is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, July 30, at 6:00 PM at the Forsyth Technical Robert L. Strickland Center, 1615 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

We hope you will join us as we recognize and celebrate Forsyth County's finest heroes.
