Forsyth Technical Institute: Library - c. 1965
Image is a year after the founding of the college, and with the college's original name. First dedicated library space was established on main campus. When the institute began (and this picture was taken) the library focused on supporting the institute's original technical programs: automotive, electronics, machinist, practical nursing, drafting.

The following recommendation highlights the service of women during the Vietnam War. At times, this book may be hard to read for some people because of the descriptions of war. This book is deeply moving and provides a bird’s eye view of the women who served during the Vietnam War in the medical tents. You will walk beside Frankie, a fictionalized character, as she leaves her idyllic Southern California home and travels to Vietnam as a nurse. I hope you will consider reading this book and walk along beside The Women as they describe their journey through the Vietnam War.
