OUR PROGRAMS:
Medical Clinic:
With the assistance of all volunteers--including doctors, nurses, and other health care providers--the Shalom Project runs a medical clinic each Wednesday night. The Clinic has become a place where patients can receive their primary health care and medical interns have an opportunity to receive community care training. Those either uninsured or under insured are welc
ome to come to the Clinic for their basic health care needs. No documentation is required, but a list of current medications is helpful. Check in begins at 5:00
Food Pantry & Clothing Closet:
The Clothing Closet and Food Pantry are open each Tuesday. Volunteers and staff sort and distribute food and clothing to members of the community that find themselves in need of these resources. The food pantry partners with The Second Harvest Food Bank, local associations, and area faith communities that hold food drives and make both material and financial donations.
- The Clothing Closet receives seasonal donations from a variety of sources and distributes them at no cost.
-Clients are eligible every 30 days. Schedule: Each Tuesday morning from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Please bring a type of photo ID (does not have to be state-issued). Peters Creek Community Initiative:
The Peters Creek Community initiative (PCCI) is a collaborative of churches, neighborhood associations, businesses and officials that have joined for the purpose of revitalizing the Peters Creek Community through economic and community development.
