Job purpose

Network Cabling Technician’s job requires the ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain data cables whether for computers, cameras, access control, etc.. All cabling infrastructure must be installed per BICSI and NEC standards.

Duties And Responsibilities
Install copper and fiber optic cables, such as CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A, Coax, and Fiber, to include terminations to BICSI standards.
Able to perform in-wall pathways, sleeve installation, rack installation, j-hook installation, and core drilling.
Maintain all documents related to cabling infrastructure.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of installations as needed.
Manage and maintain exact inventory for parts, tools, and supplies.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently or as a team player.
Valid driver’s license needed.
Requires completion of background and MVR checks.
Certifications are a plus-Bicsi, Commscope, Panduit, etc..
Working conditions

Employee will work primarily in the field. The employee may be required to work outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels. Additional exposures include but not limited to include confine spaces such as attics and crawlspaces, construction sites, active customer sites.

Physical Requirements

Employee will need to be able to lift 75Lbs and handle ladder in a safe manner. Work from various lifts and ladders of all sizes.

Job Summary
CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, or Intrusion Technician will work with Project Management on the various commercial and small business projects. Technician will be responsible for working with other technicians on their projects and training customers.

Responsibilities and Duties
CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, or Intrusion Technician will be responsible to lead projects, read and follow prints, install all equipment, wire up and program panels, and complete final testing. Technician will be responsible for a project from start to finish. Technician will be responsible for working with other technicians and having a daily/weekly schedule for their projects.

Qualifications and Skills
This position will require a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Technician must have experience in CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, or Intrusion installation and some programming.
Certifications are a plus. Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Milestone, S2, etc....

Fire Alarm Technician– Winston Salem, NC

KNC Technologies currently has a full-time Fire Alarm Technician position open in our Winston Salem, NC area. This individual will handle first level support of service requests and field installation of fire alarms. The Fire Alarm Technician will be based out of the Winston Salem office, and will report directly to the Fire Alarm, Division Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Installing Fire Alarm System components
Running a variety of styles and sizes of conduit to electrical devices
Configuring and programming installed components
Performing work tasks in a detail oriented and methodical fashion when troubleshooting issues
Maintaining a professional and courteous manner while representing KNC in the field, and answering customer questions as necessary
Identifying potential value-added sales opportunities to increase company revenue
Working patiently with customers, and maintaining communication to keep them informed
Assisting with paperwork and documentation for accurate record keeping, billing and inventory
Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicles in a professional manner
Responding to emergency situations during and after hours

Job Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License required
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of fire alarm/electronic security experience preferred
Experience reading blueprints desired
