Last night, the Winsted Fire Department was out training for the unexpected! 🚒
Our firefighters worked on open water rescue and trail rescue techniques, focusing on the skills and teamwork needed to safely respond when someone needs help in challenging environments.
Training like this helps keep our crew prepared to serve our community when it matters most.
A big thank you to everyone who took the time to train and sharpen these important skills! 👨‍🚒🌊

Our friends at the Lester Prairie Fire Department are hosting a Pork Chop Dinner Benefit for Scott Christenson on Saturday, October 10th, 2026.
🍽️ $15 per meal
🔥 2 pork chops, baked beans, potato salad, cookie & bottled water
⏰ 11 AM–1 PM
📍 Lester Prairie Fire Station
🚗 Drive-thru/takeout available, or stop by for their Open House featuring a bounce house and face painting for the kids!
As a neighboring fire department, we encourage our community to come out, grab a great meal, and show some support for the Lester Prairie crew and the Christenson family.

It's official, we will be hosting our 6th Annual Pork Chop Dinner this fall, but this year we have decided to help one of our own, Scott Christenson! Our members spent the evening yesterday getting valuable behind-the-wheel practice with our apparatuses, working on everything from maneuvering through tight spaces, backing into small spaces and building confidence behind the wheel. Training like this helps ensure we're ready to respond safely and efficiently when it is needed.

A big thank you to all of our members who took the time to train today. The more we practice, the better prepared we are to serve our community.

Winsted Fire Department members spent yesterday getting ready for our annual Spaghetti Feed for this Thursday! We are looking forward to a great evening with the community, we hope to see you there! Reminder this year we will only be serving at the Winstock Grounds!

Mark your calendars for the annual WFD Spaghetti Dinner next Thursday, June 18th at Winstock Country Music Festival. Reminder that we are only serving at the Winstock grounds, but there is no gate admission required to come and eat. Parking is in the VIP by K-Way. We hope to see you there!
