We had an amazing time this morning for our kick-off event! Thank you Rotary Club of Winslow Arizona & Little Colorado Medical Center for supplying the pancake goods & also cooking them up, were roar-some!

What lies beneath the surface? This summer, we’re inviting writers across Arizona to dig deep and discover the stories waiting below.

“Unearth A Story” challenges you to explore hidden worlds beneath our feet—places filled with mystery, wonder, and the unexpected. Whether your imagination drifts toward sci-fi adventures or magical fantasy realms, this is your chance to create a tale of discovery that breaks beyond the ordinary. Let your creativity shine as you uncover something extraordinary beneath the ground we walk on every day.

📝 Who can participate?
Anyone of any age living in the state of Arizona is welcome to join!

Ends: June 26, 2026

Drum roll for May’s Little & Young Chef of the month! 🥁 Chosen by our local men in blue! 🚔🚨

We rolled into fun one donut at a time! Our cooks had the sweetest (& messiest) day baking donuts with our local police officers 👮‍♂️ 🍩

A huge thank you to Winslow Police Department for allowing your officers to educate, play, & serve these kids. We’re sure they won’t forget this 💙

🔔Don’t forget! Our “Little” & “Young” Chefs cooking classes will be “KIDS COOKING” on our summer calendar! ALL AGES are welcome for both classes in June & July!

Thank you to Jessica for donating these adorable chef hats for our cooking class. The kids & officers loved them 👨‍🍳😻
