📣 Important info from your school nurses! As you prepare for the upcoming school year, please ensure that your child's health records and plan of care are current and up to date before registration (July 7-9) and the first day of school.

Nurse Anderson will leave some forms outside the high school office on Monday. Other than that you can pick up forms during registration days/time and have them back during that first week of school.

Our school nurses, Felisha Pitt - Winona Elementary School nurse and Brittany Anderson - Winona Secondary School nurse, are spending part of their summer learning more about how to keep our students healthy and safe while at school! Thank you for loving our Tigers, both big and small!

WES 1st grade teachers spent Thursday and Friday learning to integrate ag into the classroom! The teachers attended the Ag in the Classroom Farm Bureau workshop held at the Desoto County Agri-Education Center in Nesbit, MS. They are excited about teaching their little Tigers about the importance of bees, dairy, cows, how to plant sweet potatoes, rice, soy beans, and different types of farms next year!

Congratulations to Mr. Corey Kelly, Dr. Terry Peeples, and Mrs. Shaquita Lathon! They have successfully completed the Principal’s Institute hosted by Mississippi Christian University. The Principal Institute consisted of a week long professional development that included team-building exercises, speakers, and personal reflection.

These Winona Tigers are headed home after a great last day at Arlington National Cemetery, Museum of National African American History, National Air & Space Museum, and the Natural History Museum. Such a great trip for these Tigers ‼️

Today the Washington group went to The National Museum of Archives, where they saw historical documents like The Declaration of Independence, toured Capitol Hill and saw the MLK Jr., FDR, and Thomas Jefferson memorials. This trip is such a great experience for these young Tigers!

Mrs. Amber Austin organized a trip for students in grades 4-6 to visit Washington D.C. On their first full day, Juliana Lee - 4th, Jayden Ware - 4th, Alison French - 5th, Lana Britt - 6th, Clayton Stevens - 6th made priceless memories at Mt Vernon and the Washington Monument.
