Many thanks to all of the people who are working hard this Labor Day weekend! Including, of course, the farmers, bakers, cooks, and creators who stock the local farmers’ markets. Yesterday I had a chance to enjoy the Winona’s farmers’ market.

I am humbled by this endorsement from the Minnesota Farm Bureau.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a farmer. That’s why I rely heavily on the farmers of Winona County and the people from Farm Bureau to advise me on agriculture bills. And while I can’t advise anyone on crop rotation, fertilizer, or veterinary needs, we share the common bond of being small business owners.

The farmers of Winona County feed our state, our country, and our world. Agriculture-related businesses are a significant component of our state economy. It is good for everyone to support our farmers!

Farm Bureau State Committee Chair Delvin Durheim explained the relationship we have built: “The candidates we’ve endorsed have shown their commitment to support agriculture in our state. We look forward to continuing to build those connections and working together on issues that matter to the future of our members’ livelihoods.” I couldn’t agree more!

I sat down with Rachel Mergen from the Winona Daily News to talk about my first term as Winona County’s representative in St. Paul. No topic was off limits, so we had a wide ranging discussion. The headline says it all, “Winona’s Aaron Repinski aims to safeguard taxpayer money.” You can read the full article here:

Aaron Repinski, a Winona native and Republican, seeks reelection to the Minnesota House, emphasizing his role as a community voice rather than a career politician. His first term featured efforts on fiscal responsibility, bipartisan cooperation, and significant state savings for taxpayers.

Michelle and I are praying for the full and speedy recovery of the people injured in yesterday’s deadly shooting in Minneapolis. We are praying for the friends and family members who were told their loved ones didn't survive. And we’re praying for the police officers who were injured as they bravely put their own lives on the line to protect others. Violence is never the answer.

Law enforcement says two people are dead after at least six people, including two police officers, were shot in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon. A source confirmed the suspect died by su***de. ⬇️Click the link in the comments to read more

I was grateful to speak at the Winona Housing Association meeting last night. Housing is a critical issue for our community and it takes smart, thoughtful legislation to tackle housing issues. That is what the people of Winona County deserve and it’s what I am committed to delivering at the Minnesota House.

I am honored to be endorsed for House District 26A by the Minnesota Pipe Trades Association. This organization represents 9000 Plumbers, Pipefitters, Sprinklerfitters, Gasfitters, HVAC, and Service Technicians throughout Minnesota. Members of MN Pipe Trades work in all areas of the plumbing, pipefitting, mechanical, and fire protection industry.

These folks work hard and understand the value of a dollar. They deserve a representative who will protect their money at the Capitol. That is what I do for them, and for everyone in Winona County.

Goodview sure knows how to put out the welcome mat! The Grand Parade yesterday was the topper on a wonderful week of Goodview Days.

Thank you to the Goodview Activity Group, whose hard work and organizational skills made the week such a success. Thank you to the public safety professionals and first responders who ensured our safety. And thank you to all of the people who greeted me during the parade and while door knocking. Your support and encouragement mean the world to me.

What a great day for a parade! And the Goodview Days Parade is one of the best! Many thanks to the hard-working crew that made this parade possible.

Last night it was my honor to address the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation. I talked about our legislative wins and how we prevented some things from passing.

Wait. What? Yeah, sometimes NOT passing a bill is as important as passing one.

Let me give you one quick example: HF 5131. This bill would have prohibited certain types of animal testing and research in Minnesota. That sounds good, right? Not so much. The farmers I talked to explained that the bill could have prevented essential veterinary, animal disease, and crop-pest-control research. That’s why I reach out to farmers and groups like the Farm Bureau, so that I can truly be the voice of House District 26A.

Many thanks to the Farm Bureau and to all of the farmers in Winona County! Your hard and smart work feeds our nation.
