A huge thank you to Anne Bass who braved the heat to speak to our small crowd Monday night. She did an amazing job of detailing what her job entails, updating us on some of the new laws and changes to look forward to, and things to make sure we are aware of in order to make sure we are taking advantage of tax breaks. If you have questions or would like more information, contact her office in the Court House or she left plenty of handouts at the library for you to take.

We will not have an event Monday, September 7 as the Library is closed for Labor Day but stay tuned for a post with details about our event on September 14.

Fairfield County Library will be closing at 11:00 AM today, Saturday, August 29th.

The library will remain closed next week and will reopen Tuesday, September 8th for our regular business hours.

🍂📚 Fall Into Reading with Beanstack! 📚🍂

There are still a few days left in August, so keep reading and keep logging those minutes! Be sure to finish up your August Beanstack Challenge over the next several days and reach those final reading goals. 📖🏆

And good news—the September “Fall Into Reading” Challenge has already launched and is ready for you to join! 🍁 There are challenges for children, teens, and adults, with opportunities to earn badges and prizes throughout the month.

📱 Log your reading through the Beanstack Tracker app, online at library.beanstack.org, or use one of our paper reading logs.

⚠️ Important Library & Prize Pickup Reminder:
The library will be open tomorrow, Saturday, August 29, and will then be closed August 31–September 5, as well as Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. We will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.

🎁 Beanstack prizes will not be available for pickup until Monday, September 14. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience!

📚 IMPORTANT LIBRARY CLOSURE NOTICE 📚

Due to an ongoing maintenance issue, high temperatures, and no air conditioning, Fairfield County Library will be CLOSED all of next week, from Monday, August 31 through Saturday, September 5.

📣 PLEASE NOTE: Our Planning for the Future program with Fairfield County Auditor Anne Bass will STILL BE HELD on Monday, August 31, from 6:00–7:30 PM. We hope you'll join us!

🇺🇸 The library will also be closed for Labor Day and will reopen for our regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

Due to no air conditioning and high temperatures inside the building, Fairfield County Library will be closing early today, Wednesday, August 26, for the comfort and safety of our patrons and staff.

🌿📚 Planning for the Future Continues at Fairfield County Library!

We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for the first program in our Planning for the Future series this past week! We appreciate Probate Judge Brad Caulder for sharing his time and knowledge with our community, and we’re grateful to everyone who came out, asked questions, and participated.

Our next program is coming up Monday!

Join us for a Community Conversation with Fairfield County Auditor Anne Bass. Learn more about the Auditor’s Office, the services it provides, and information that may be helpful to you as a Fairfield County resident. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

A huge thank you to everyone that came out to our first in a series called “Preparing for the Future”. Probate Judge Brad Caulder did an excellent job presenting the many facets of probate and answering many in-depth questions. I believe we all came away with a better understanding of what is required when Mr. Caulder’s services are needed when that time arises.

Next week on Monday, August 31 from 6:00 until 7:30, join us as Anne Bass fills us in on hints and tips regarding our local taxes.

Join us tonight as we kick off our Planning for the Future series with a Community Conversation with Probate Judge Brad Caulder!

Judge Caulder will discuss the probate process, share helpful information about what you and your family should know, and answer questions from our community.
