🚨🚨🚨 Important information for displaced workers:
First, we are working together to plan a job fair in Winnsboro for impacted workers to be held in two weeks. We are also inviting MLILY/Healthcare SC employees to attend our large SC Works Career Expo event on September 9 at Dutch Square Center (421 Bush River Road) in Columbia.
Second, assistance with searching for work, resumes and interviewing, and filing unemployment claims is available through our SC Works Centers across the state. Jobseekers can access 1:1 help with their search at the Winnsboro SC Works Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. (may increase to five days a week depending on traffic). We also offer services virtually through the Virtual Engagement Center (VEC) where DEW staff provide live assistance for jobseekers through our online platform Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in addition to hosting a variety of virtual workshops like Basic Computer Skills, Interviewing Skills, and Cover Letter Writing. Below, you will find a list of the three Midlands SC Works Centers; however, we have SC Works Centers throughout the state and information about other SC Works Center locations is available at scworks.org/centers.
