Being your Constable is a lot more than just doing the job.

This week Constable John McQueen and Constable Robert Holland and I are in a class to get in compliance with new legislation that affects every one of the 2700+ law enforcement agencies in Texas.

Don’t fall for it!

There is currently a scam circulating in which individuals receive a text message containing a photo of a document claiming they have been issued a citation. The example I received appeared to be from Dallas; however, upon closer inspection, the wording on the state seal is incorrect, indicating it is not legitimate.

The message also includes a QR code. I strongly advise against scanning this code, as there is no way to verify what it may open or install on your device.

I have personally received two of these messages today. My recommendation is to delete the text immediately and report it as spam.

💙OFFICER DOWN💙
This morning, a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper and a Wood County, TX Sheriff's Office Deputy were shot in the line of duty while attempting to serve an arrest warrant. The situation escalated into a barricaded suspect and resulted in an officer involved shooting.

Both officers are currently listed in critical but stable condition and are fighting to recover.

TMPA Regional Attorney Kenneth Biggs responded to the scene to assist all members involved.

Please keep these heroes and their families in your prayers.

If you see fit, we’d appreciate you taking the time to write a letter and send it.

*Public Assistance Requested*

Sheriff Guerra and the staff at the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office would like to reach out to all law-abiding citizens across Texas and the United States to assist us in protesting the parole of convicted murderer Kenneth Vodochodsky.

Kenneth Vodochodsky was convicted for his involvement in the October 1999 ambush and murders of Atascosa County Deputy Sheriffs Thomas Monse and Mark Stephenson, and Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Terry Miller.

After initially receiving a death sentence from a jury, the sentence was overturned by an appellate court, and he subsequently pled guilty to all three murders in exchange for three 30-Year sentences.

That sentence allows him to be considered for parole at specific intervals. In March of 2026 one of these parole hearings will be held.

We feel that this convicted murderer should complete all 30 years of his sentence with NO early parole.

We have created a parole protest letter that individuals can use to tell the State of Texas that parole should not be considered. If you prefer, you can write your own letter.

The form letters may be picked up at the Sheriff's Office at 1108 Campbell Avenue in Jourdanton, Texas or you may go to the link provided in this post.

Print the letter, fill it out, and mail to the Texas Board of Pardon and Paroles at the address listed on the letter.

We will also accept letters turned into the Sheriff's Office through February 20th and we will package and mail them to the Parole Board.

Please help us in keeping this convicted murderer in prison for as long as legally possible.

ACSO will continue to stand beside the families of these three brave lawmen. As always...We thank you for your ongoing support.
