A computer glitch occurred last month. This cause 6 account payments to be credited to January 4, 2030.

So the computer sent out water bills that didn't recognize that the payment for January was made. If your received a bill that does not show that you paid last month, and you did pay, please know that we have discovered the error and have corrected it. If you want, you can call 318-542-2370 and I will verify that your account was corrected

We are finally able to read meters today. The ice storm, no electricity at the office and work scheduling conflicts with the operator are the cause of the delay.

We depend on workers who have full time jobs and are willing to work for the water system, on a part time basis, for 'very little money.'

For the above reasons your water bill which ordinarily reflects a billing cycle of 30 or 31 days will have 37 days of water consumption on it. To make matters worse the ice storm had people allowing their faucet to drip consuming even more water.

Your bill will be higher. There is nothing we can do about it. We just want you to be aware of the reasons for your bill.

The bright side is that the bill you receive in March will have 7 less days than normal and will be smaller than usual.

BITTERLY COLD WEATHER STARTS TONIGHT!

Today is your last chance to insulate pipes and faucets. Burst pipes means High Water Bills. We are NOT allowed, within the bylaws, to forgive water bills. If you get cut off, you stay cutoff until bill is paid.

PLEASE, do yourself a favor and insulate your pipes and faucets.

We mailed all the Water Bills on Friday the 2nd of January. At least 8 customers have called and reported not receiving their bill.

This has been a problem for some time and is getting worse. Some time this year we will transition to an email type of billing.

The program we are looking at will send an email bill. You will be able to pay online and look at your bill online.

Swyft got into another waterline on 1228. Water had been shut off until repaired. It will be most of day as we had to go out of town for parts.

Swyft got into line at end of Lovell Rd. Water is being cut off from 1228-Winnfield. We will update once it is fixed. I know this is getting frustrating but it’s beyond our control.

Update- Waterline is fixed!

Contractor has got into a waterline on Hope Drive and the water will be off from 1228 to toward Winnfield until repaired.

Some customers are experiencing what appears to be cloudy water. I did at my house. This is caused by microbubbles.

Microbubbles in your water supply lines are usually dissolved air from water pressure changes and are safe, appearing as a temporary cloudiness in the water that clears when left in a glass for a minute.

If you are experiencing low or no water pressure, Swyft has cut the water lines a couple times today. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please be patient as this process takes place getting the fiber optic lines laid for better internet service. We know it’s frustrating but is out of our control.
