This is Teresa again. I’ve been writing about our Cross Country Canine Caravan trip (can you believe that was almost a year ago?!) and reminiscing. I often go back and look at the photos to help jog my memory. So, I thought I’d share a few you may have missed. What a trip it was!
PS. I’m almost done with the book (coming in at about 220 pages or so).

Sampson is an amazing, amusing hound who deserves a loving home. Please share his beautiful 25 pound countenance. Housetrained, affectionate and intuitive and only about 5 years old.

Recently I had the chance to visit Haven For Hope at the former location of Meade in Creston. They will be ready for volunteers and visitors soon (some construction still underway), but look who I got to meet!
Goats and sheep will be helping with the property maintenance (excellent lawnmowers) and ducks will be …ducking! 😂
Murphy the handsome hunk pittie is available for adoption now , and the little yorkie (no, it’s not a miniature miniature Highland cow!) will be available for adoption soon (his owner passed away and he is blind, so he needs some extra time and love).
Such a nice place to visit!

With a shattered heart, I am posting to tell you that sweet, spunky little Maya(my roommate on the great Canine Caravan Road trip, who I called Maya Papaya) has passed away. She had the good fortune of being adopted into a loving home after we arrived in New York, and her adopters had this to say to Charlotte :

“Out of the blue she began having seizures, and after exhausting every medical option with the ER and her vet, her little body could not hold on.
She was a light and a love until the very end.
She forever changed our lives, and we are so grateful for the time we had with her because of you.”

Rest easy my little Maya Papaya. See you at the Rainbow Bridge one day.

A note from Charlotte:
“Glenda is on board a flight to LaGuardia due at 7 PM. Charlotte and Belle are training into the city to pick her up and get her ‘home’. Glenda is one lucky Chihuahua pulled at the last minute from the Stanislau pound in Modesto, safely fostered until we found wonderful Erika who agreed to transport her. We are always looking for people like Erika.”
