It's the beginning of the Spring cleaning, garage sale and yard sale season. If you see someone who's needing a place to take their used medical equipment and left over consumable supplies, like diapers, wound care or ostomy items, please send them our way. You can call us "green" by the fact that we try and recycle as much as possible, and keep it from going to the dump or being torn up at the scrap yard. Healthcare plans are notorious in changing what they cover, just when one needs it. Some folks have spend down deductible total amounts, prior to coverage, which are just unachievable.

As we grow, we will do more. Right now, the community and region are very supportive. Please feel free to spread the word of our aim to support the community and region, repurposing and recycling medical equipment and supplies, where there is a need. We have been blessed with the use of a house at 501 Harter (at 5th street) for easy access. Please call for an appointment (620) 221-2700, so we can be sure to have someone there to meet you.

Welcome to the Medical Loan Closet of Southcentral Kansas, in Winfield. You can contact us to make an appointment through the office of First United Methodist Church of Winfield at (620)221-2700. All are welcome to participate. Our operating hours, to attend the public (by appointment only, please, for now) are 8am to 5 pm Monday thru Thursday, and 8 am to 12 pm on Fridays.. We are staffed solely by volunteers of many local groups, and welcome new volunteers to join us. Please note: At this time we don't deal in hospital beds, but may be able to facilitate communication between those who have them locally, and those who need them. Likewise, assistive objects like built on wheelchair ramps, and lifts, might also find new homes. We will literally accept anything sick room, or assistive care related, except prescription medications. Even partial bags of disposable diapers and pads are welcome. It's Spring and time for cleaning, out those basements, attics and storage areas of any such things you, your family, friends and neighbors, may have been seeking a place to donate.
