I haven’t said a lot but I would like to thank the ones that have prayed for me and Daddy. The ones who have shown up, called or just met me on the street with well wishes. I will say this, If you still have a parent, spend time with them. Make time for them. What I wouldn’t give to have this time back and know what I know now. I miss my Daddy but I will see him again. Do not let today go without at least a phone call just to tell them you love them and what they have to say matters.

📢 Great Work by Our Officers 📢

The Police Department would like to recognize Officer Austin Swanigan and Officer Bradyn Wells for their outstanding work on two separate cases handled this month.

Through their diligence and proactive policing, a significant amount of illegal drugs has been removed from our community. These cases represent countless hours of investigation, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping our citizens safe.

We are proud of the work Officer Swanigan and Officer Wells continue to do every day. Their efforts make a real difference, and we appreciate their dedication to protecting and serving our community.

As we step into a new year, I want to take a moment—on behalf of myself and every member of the Winfield Police Department—to say thank you.

Thank you for the trust you place in us. Thank you for the kindness, encouragement, and support you show our officers and their families. And thank you for standing with us as partners in keeping our community safe.

The past year brought its share of challenges, victories, and lessons learned. Through it all, our officers remained committed to serving with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. They answered calls at all hours, ran toward danger when others couldn’t, and did so with a genuine heart for this community.

As we begin a new year, our commitment remains the same: to serve with honor, protect with courage, and treat every person with respect and dignity. We look forward to continuing to build strong relationships, open communication, and a community where everyone feels safe and valued.

From my family to yours, and from our police family to this community we are proud to serve, we wish you a safe, healthy, and blessed New Year. May it be filled with peace, hope, and new beginnings.
