PUBLIC NOTICE -
TOWN OF WINFALL WORKSHOP

Notice is hereby given that a workshop only will be held by Winfall Town Councils at the Winfall Town Hall on May 28, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in Communty Center, located at 100 Parkview Lane, Hertford NC 27944, for the purpose of concerning business of importance, and the Budget.

No comment are allowed during this time

The public is welcome to attend.

Unity Day 2026
Join the Town of Winfall on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM for Unity Day, a special community event honoring the historic 1966 Student Civil Rights march and celebrating unity, reflection, and togetherness in Winfall and Perquimans County.
Starting Location: Perquimans Middle School,312 W Main St in Winfall, NC

What to Expect:
• Brief remarks on the history and significance of the 1966 march
• Reflections from original march participants
• A commemorative unity march through the community, concluding at First Baptist Church in Hertford
• Water and refreshments available along the route (courtesy of Choice Insurance Group)
Please note: The march is approximately 3.5 miles in length, and transportation will not be provided back to the starting location. Participants should plan accordingly.

Unity Day is open to everyone, and we warmly invite residents, families, and community leaders from Winfall, Hertford, and across the county to walk with us and be part of this meaningful day.

The Town of Winfall would like to give Our Condolences to former Mayor Lloyd Ray Morgan's Family and Friends, he was also a Lifelong owner of the Towns very own grocery store (Best Buy Meats). May his Legacy be remembered and our appreciation for his many years of faithful leadership and commitment to the Town.
