OWNED BY THE CITY OF WINDSOR
Notice is hereby given that the City of Windsor, an Illinois municipal corporation, is accepting sealed bids for the sale of certain surplus real property . The legal description of the said property is as follows:

Beginning at an existing iron pin on the Southerly right of way line of the
former CCC & St. Louis Railroad lying 367 feet (record) Southwesterly of
the Northeast corner of Block 24 of the Bruce, Voris & Middlesworth's
Addition to the City of Windsor, Shelby County, Illinois; thence N. 74°58'59"
E., 195.56 feet along said Southerly right of way line; thence S. 9°01'19" W.,
134.38 feet to a point on the Northerly right of way line of Illinois Route 16;
thence S. 75°07'43" W., 175.47 feet along said Northerly right of way line to
an existing iron pin; thence N. 0°48'22" E., 127.09 feet to the point of
beginning, containing 0.52 acre, more or less. Said tract of land being
subject to any and all easements of record.

The City has started our sewer lining project. During phase one Insituform will be cleaning and using a camera to view the sewer manways along the creek. During this process if you live along the creek or one block in either direction of the creek you will notice the workers accessing the sewer manways, you may also experience sewer gas smell in your home. You may want to make sure that your toilet lids are shut to help with any sewer smells or backups. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 217-459-2291.

We have two solicitors from Sol Q who will be out and about town the next few days. They do have permits. Just a reminder that solicitor permits are good for 6 days, Monday-Saturday from 8am-5 pm.
