It was my pleasure to honor Deposit Fire Department with a Certificate of Recognition from the Broome County Legislature for their 175th Anniversary just in front of the solemn remembrance of the 9/11 attack from 25 years ago. I had the privilege of meeting the Whiting family today as their organization the Legacy of Honor provided a new Flag Pole for the Deposit Community Park in memory of their son, SSG Justin Whiting, US Army. It was a solemn remembrance of Justin by Luke Tucker. This was in conjunction with Deposit Opening Day for baseball and softball teams. It was great to see the teams march in and be so exited for the season to start. A huge shout out to the Deposit community. It was special.
