What a full day today the start of Memorial Day Weekend. We started out assisting the Harting Family with raising American Flags on the Windsor Village Green with Broome County Clerk Aaron Martin. Each flag is adorned with a name tag of a veteran nominated by Windsor Residents. Amazing. Then on to Kirkwood for the Chicken BBQ provided by the Kirkwood Historical Society to raise funds for the Kirkwood 250 Celebration on July 4th. Thanks to Karen Bree Ferguson for hosting this. It was nice to see Ben Diffendorf there. Finally we were happy to be at in Deposit for a Mural Dedication. This was a beautiful patriotic mural that summed up Memorial Day completely. Have a wonderful weekend and remember this veterans who died to secure our freedom.

I had the privilege of meeting the Whiting family today as their organization the Legacy of Honor provided a new Flag Pole for the Deposit Community Park in memory of their son, SSG Justin Whiting, US Army. It was a solemn remembrance of Justin by Luke Tucker. This was in conjunction with Deposit Opening Day for baseball and softball teams. It was great to see the teams march in and be so exited for the season to start. A huge shout out to the Deposit community. It was special.

Congratulations to Landyn Shaffer who recently won the State Championship in boys wrestling! Today, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar and I presented Landyn with a championship banner for his outstanding accomplishment. Landyn wrestles for Deposit-Hancock Central School and he’ll attend Binghamton University to continue his career in Wrestling. Good luck at the collegiate level and keep up the great work.

Thank you for all the support and positive momentum I received while going door to door collecting signatures to get on the ballot for reelection. It was a pleasure to meet so many residents at their doors.

Today, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar and I proudly presented Delaney Dixon from Windsor Central School District with a championship banner for her outstanding accomplishment of winning the NYS Championship in wrestling! Congratulations Delaney we are extremely proud of you!
