Windsor, Birthplace of Vermont Windsor is the Birthplace of Vermont and home to innovation, creativity, culture, recreation, and excellent quality of life. Visit us here and in person.

It is a great place to visit, live and work! WINDSOR VERMONT… history, museums, gardens, splendid scenery, a covered bridge, a mountain, a mighty river, and pure Vermont charm make this hamlet a wonderfully classic ‘off the beaten path’ place to visit. Aside from being a quintessential New England settlement planted neatly along the banks of the beautiful Connecticut River in the valley of the sam

e name, Windsor holds claim to fame as being the site of many firsts such as the drafting of the first Constitution in the colonies and believe it or not, interchangeable tools, something that one wouldn't normally recognize as being synonymous with the Green Mountain State. There are attractions that truly are unique in their own right such as the stately Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge - the longest in America, and the unique Path of Life Garden. The air here is pure, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the surroundings will create a sense of solitude and will replenish one’s soul first-rate. President Woodrow Wilson was impressed and had his summer White House here from 1913-1915 across the river. Windsor Public Library : WINDSOR TOWN-WIDE YARD SALE SATURDAY, JULY 18, 2026, 8AM-1PM
Having yard sales on the same day benefits us. More folks wandering Windsor looking for deals, antiques, oddities and necessities. Plus, this date is again the same date as the regionally-famous Charlestown, NH town-wide sale, and folks coming to Charlestown’s sales in past years have gladly come north to see what Windsor has to offer. The Town-wide Yard Sale is a fundraiser for the Windsor Public Library. For a donation to the library in any amount, your yard sale will be listed on our google map of sales. A hard copy map will also be printed out and circulated widely during the week before the sale. Don't have a yard to have a sale in? You can borrow a table from the library for the day and set up on the town common! Email [email protected] with details of your sale – address, what you’re selling, and even including some pictures of featured sale items is helpful.
