We have a wonderful week of events June 2nd - 5th, we have our Diné Language and Culture Week that are family friendly and welcoming of all with littles to attend!

On June 4th from 5:30 pm - 7 pm, we will host Ms. Kim Etsitty, a Diné teacher from Navajo Pine High School, she will talk present her scientific work before setting sail to the Arctic Ocean on June 7th! We will setup an FB Live stream for those unable to make the in-person presentation.

Come join us next week at the Main Library in Window Rock, AZ!

We want to thank those of you who joined us for today's Summer Reading Program Kick-off! We are delighted to share that we had over 30 individuals sign-up for the SRC and 15 new library card holders!

We would like to extend the Summer Reading Program Sign-up for Friday May 29th, 2026! Come on by from 10 am - 2 pm to sign-up for the Summer Reading Challenge and get yourself a snowcone and popcorn too! We will have reading logs and registration forms ready.

Our online portal will open next week for those who are unable to join us tomorrow.

We will be hosting our annual Summer Reading Program, our kick-off event will be tomorrow May 28, 2026, from 10 am - 2 pm and please do stick around from 3 - 4 pm, Ms. Kim Etsitty, a Diné teacher from Navajo Pine High School, will talk about her selection to explore the Arctic Ocean aboard the Nautilus thanks in part to the National Geographic Society!

We have a quick announcement, join us on Thursday May 28th, 2026 from 3 pm - 4 pm after the Summer Reading Program Kick-Off to hear from our own Diné scientist: Ms. Kimmy Etsitty!

Ms. Etsitty was selected as a 2026 Grosvenor Teacher Fellow with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic Society This summer, she will travel to the Arctic, home of the Kalaallit Nunaat people, aboard the National Geographic Endurance. (Source: IG: kimmyetsitty)

Join us as she will discuss more of her research and how we can safeguard the planet!

Master weaver Christine Curtis will be at Navajo Nation Library for a storytelling & demonstration of tradition Diné weaving. She will be sharing techniques for beginners and provide information about the weaving process for anyone curious about rug weaving.
