Quick reminder, the Window Rock Main Library will be closed tomorrow Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 8 am - 12 pm, as we will setup a booth at the Ashkii Happy Kids Day at the Navajo Nation Fair! Come grab a book or a few!

We will re-open at 12 pm - 5 pm and please join us for Baby Time at 2 pm in the Main Library, Window Rock, AZ!

All Navajo Nation Library locations (Window Rock, Kayenta, Torreon, and Ojo Encino) will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, 2026. We will return to regular hours on Tuesday, September 8th at 8 am.
Window Rock Main Library will be closed from 8 am - 12 pm on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 and open at 12 pm to 5 pm. All other Library locations will be open with regular services from 8 am to 5 pm.

Miss Navajo Nation 2025-26, Camille J Uentillie, extends her appreciation to each book club member that participated in this year’s Miss Navajo Nation Book Club. 
 
As Miss Navajo Nation, I started the Miss Navajo Nation Book Club to promote literacy and create a space for discussions. At the beginning of this year, we started reading in January. The book club covered 8 books highlighting important stories and topics. I appreciate the individuals who met via zoom and in-person. I shared my personal connections to each book as we read each month. Thank you to the Navajo Nation Library here in Window Rock for cohosting with me for in-person discussions. I’m grateful to the Diné authors who joined us for our discussions and making time for our questions as it was a great connection. This month we concluded with our last book of my reign honoring our Code Talkers. 
 
Reading is very crucial and I’d like to acknowledge how vital it is to encourage our youth and adults to limit their time on electronics. Lets put down the phones and read.
