Paulie's Push

I woke up this morning with tears in my eyes. Knowing that this will be the last day I push through Connecticut. I need to thank every single one of you for all you have done for me and my team. Because of all your kindness and support I'm able to finish this journey and show the world we haven't forgotten and will Never forget. We will always Honor our First First Responders and come together and bring comfort to the families of the precious lives we lost that day and continue to lose.

Before the weekend begins, remember the Americans who won’t be heading home.

Some are stationed thousands of miles away. Some are standing watch while their families carry on here at home. All of them made a commitment to serve.

🚶‍♀️🚒 234 MILLION steps. 1,000+ participants. One month of moving for better health.

Firefighters and EMS providers across the country stepped up during the NVFC’s second annual Step Strong Challenge, turning June into a month of movement, motivation, and a little friendly competition.

Participants didn’t just rack up the steps. They built healthier habits, got their crews and families involved, and found new motivation to keep moving. And with the addition of team competition this year, departments had even more reason to step up together. 👟

August was another month of service, commitment, and teamwork.

Our members responded to 104 calls for service, while also coming together for community events and supporting Paulie's Push another reminder that being a volunteer firefighter means serving your community both on and off the call.

To every member who gave their time, answered the call, supported an event, or simply stepped up when needed, we thank you.

Your dedication is what keeps this department strong.

NATIONAL DOG DAY | MAN’S BEST FRIEND

Every firefighter knows the value of having a good partner by your side and for many of us, that partnership doesn’t end when we leave the firehouse.

We’re recognizing man’s best friend: the dogs who greet us after a long call, keep us company between shifts, and are always ready to be there when we walk through the door.

From the family pet to the four-legged members of our firehouse families, these loyal companions are part of what keeps us going.

Sharing a few photos from tonight’s joint training with firefighters from North Windham Fire Department and South Windham Fire Department Departments as part of a firefighter muster drill.

Crews put their hose advancement skills to the test, maneuvering hose through a cone course while focusing on control, communication, and teamwork.

The course brought a competitive edge to the training, challenging crews to work efficiently and finish strong.
