Today we highlight the behind the scenes work of our crew who worked for the three-alarm fire in Casco, Maine.
The CCRCC received a call from a witness at 1206 reporting a home and barn on fire on Route 11. The call was dispatched out to Casco Fire within 1 minute of receipt (This includes address and phone number verification policy.)
Over the next 6 hours, our crew coordinated response efforts from far and wide.
CCRCC Partner Agencies (Dispatched out of our center) : Casco Fire, Naples Fire, Raymond Fire, Bridgton Fire, New Gloucester Fire, Gray Fire, Harrison Fire, Windham Fire, Sebago Fire, Baldwin Fire, North Yarmouth Fire, Standish Fire, Gorham Fire & The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
Mutual Aid requests : Poland Fire, Mechanic Falls Fire, Otisfield Fire, Waterford Fire, The State Fire Marshal's Office, Red Cross and Maine Department of Transportation.
During this call, all other emergency and non-emergency calls to our center were handled with care and timely service.
Organization, communication and teamwork play a large role in these types of incidents. Our staff train hard, but ultimately the true test and the ultimate sense of pride comes when you see a system in action when it really matters. We could not be more proud of the work that is done by our large team - day in and day out.
