Just 2 weeks from tonight for the first Goodrich PARK Free Concerts music. We will be welcoming "The Remedy Band" sponsored by Randolph Tourism starting at 7pm. Bring your lawn chair, some jingle in your pocket for the food trucks and get ready for some great music!

We have another NEW SPONSOR for the 10th anniversary of the 2026 Goodrich Park Free Concerts! The City of Wi******er, all our sponsors and the Wi******er Parks Board make sure the MUSIC PLAYS ON!

Grant and Sami Cox have joined as proud supporters of the Goodrich Park Summer Series. Grant grew up in Wi******er, and his band used to play at the concerts back in the first concerts before life took the band members in different directions. The Benefit also created a cool music video that was on Youtube back in the day.

Grant still enjoys drumming and is grateful for a wife that lets him be loud in the basement. He moved back to the community and works at the Community Foundation of Randolph County as the Scholarships & Community Development Officer. Sami, owner of "Samantha Decker Photography" grew up in Richmond and has lived in Wi******er for 4 years. She enjoys spending time in her garden, running, crocheting and reading. They also have two sweet pups, which you might see when they walk them around the park.

It is so exciting to see young people like Grant & Sami coming to the concerts and especially making a donation to support the music in Goodrich Park! Take a look at some of Samantha's amazing photography and stop by the Community Foundation of Randolph County to chat with Grant sometime. WE LOVE OUR "30 somethings" in our community...they are our future and the future looks bright.

When we say "TIME FLIES"...we mean it! The 2026 Goodrich Park Free Concerts is celebrating 10 YEARS of music in the park this summer!

It wouldn't be happening without the support of Mayor Bob McCoy, the City of Wi******er, the Parks Department and ALL THE SPONSORS throughout these 10 years! Especially Mr. John Rose of Star 98.3 WZZY radio for being our emcee and the hundreds of promotion spots on our hometown radio throughout the week.

The original organizers (Alice Myers, Deb Swift, Gary & Susan Peterson, Al Williams) met at bars and pubs to listen to bands, enjoy the food and drinks throughout the winter months. (It was a tough job but somebody had to do it!)

Fast forward to 2026. The business owners and people who have donated throughout the 10 years have made sure the MUSIC PLAYED on!

Everyone gathering together with friends, neighbors & family members has created some wonderful memories. THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU who have attended the concerts or supported us in any way!

Thanks to Tim Yost & Shean Bosworth and their crews who always have the park looking great, thanks to the Park Board for their support, thanks to all the bands that have lightened up our worries and cares with great music also.

June 12th with The REMEDY BAND is going to be amazing! 7pm start but the food trucks will be ready to serve around 6pm.

The rest of this week looks to be much warmer and that makes us all think about the Goodrich Park Free Summer Concerts! We are on our final push to give any persons or businesses the opportunity to become a sponsor for 2026.

You can donate any amount and as you can see on the attachment any donations from $100-$1000 gets your name on the postcards that we pass out at the concerts and at the businesses around Wi******er. The $1000 sponsors are highlighted on Star 98.3 WZZY radio throughout the week of your sponsorship. *Remember...tax deductible!

This is the 10th summer of concerts in the park! (not the 9th like the letter says)

The cost to make these concerts possible is about $30,00 and we are so blessed to have sponsors who have contributed each year.

It's going to be a great summer in Goodrich Park! New ball diamond, great music, a great place to walk and lots of fun for kids at the pool and playground equipment.
