September is here—and early voting begins this month!

Beginning Friday, September 18, Wi******er and Frederick County residents can cast their ballots early for the November 3 election. Early voting is a convenient way to make your voice heard while avoiding Election Day lines, scheduling conflicts, bad weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Before voting begins, take a few minutes to confirm that your voter registration is current and your information is accurate. You can check your status through the Virginia Department of Elections’ official Citizen Portal:

In-person early voting will be available at two locations:
Wi******er Office of Elections, located at 107 N. East Lane.

Frederick County Office of Elections, located at 343 Sunnyside Plaza Cir, Wi******er VA 22603

Join us to learn about upcoming school capital projects and the proposed 1% local retail sales tax referendum for school construction at an upcoming Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Sherando High School.

Frederick County residents are invited to learn more about upcoming school capital projects and a proposed local retail sales tax referendum of up to 1% for school construction.
Join us for a Town Hall meeting or take a tour of one of our schools to see how these potential revenues could impact our division.

Town Hall Meetings
Thursday, Aug. 27 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Millbrook High School
Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Sherando High School - The meeting will also be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/live/gXe7kLBiY5U
Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. at James Wood High School

Frederick County Public Schools will also host tours of Apple Pie Ridge and Bass-Hoover elementary schools. These schools are among the facilities that could benefit from sales tax revenues if the referendum is approved and the tax is subsequently enacted. The tours provide residents with an opportunity to see the facilities and learn more about their needs.

⚠️ Attention Ward 2 voters: Our polling location has changed! ⚠️

Our new polling location is the Douglas School/WPS Central Administrative Office, located at 598 N. Kent Street. If you plan to vote on Election Day on November 3, please go to this location!

And if you plan to vote early in-person between September 18 and October 31, you can vote at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration at 107 N. East Lane.
