Providing Fire, Rescue, Wild Fire and Emergency Medical Services to the western end of Frederick County, Virginia and surrounding areas. The company was established in the Spring of 1953, after two large fires in the Round Hill community, two gentlemen were sitting under the shade trees of a home on Poorhouse Road talking. One said, "This community needs some sort of fire protection." These two me

n started talking to other residents of the area and decided to have a community meeting. The meeting was held in August of 1953 at Round Hill Community Center with approximately 50 people in attendance. Garland Cather was appointed Acting President to get things started. In October of that year, the company was issued a Charter from the State of Virginia. Bowers was elected to be the first President of Round Hill Community Fire Company. The Company purchased a 1953 pick-up from Earl Shade & Co. and constructed a fire truck for calls with a homemade tank (235 gallon), a Hale F22 Portable Pump, and 150 ft. of 1-1/2" hose. The first big fire didn't take place until the summer of 1954 being the Bond Parking shed on Indian Hollow Road. In 1957 the Fire Company built the station where it is now located. Prior to this, the company housed the truck in a small garage along Rt. 50 just east of the present station. During the following years, equipment has been replaced and upgraded to meet needs for residents protection. The 1980's, brought the First Responder Program which provided the ability to give the area Emergency Medical Service. Then upgraded and added Emergency Medical Technicians to serve the area. For approximately 6 years, Company 15 ran an ambulance as a satellite station for the Wi******er Volunteer Rescue Squad from our station. In 1987 a new Pierce Pumper was purchased for better fire suppression. In the 1990's, the decision came to purchase a company Ambulance to better serve the residents of our area. In 1996 ca,e the addition of a Rescue Engine to the fleet. At the present time, Company 15 has 24 hour coverage. There are always paid personnel (supplied by Frederick County) on duty to respond to calls. Currently, Company 15 operates seven pieces of apparatus which are an Engine Company, Rescue Engine Company, an Attack, two Medic Units, and two Quick Response Units.

Happy Mother's Day! We want to wish all of the ladies out there a great day! You don't have to have a child to make an influence on a child's life. It truly takes a village, and whether you're a mom, an aunt, a grandma, a teacher - we hope you have a great day!

It was a great Apple Blossom! Thanks to everyone who sent us pictures that they took of our apparatus! Our Miss Round Hill was Paige Littman and she looked beautiful on top of our truck with her es**rt (our Treasurer) Sara Jobe.

In case you didn't know - in the category of , "Best appearing Frederick County Unit", we received the award for our ambulance!

We honored the passing Elwood B. Patterson one of our lifetime members, with a special flower arrangement on the front of our Engine.

We hope everyone had a great weekend!

Or in other words...it's Monday again! YES we will be having bingo. Yes there will be a kitchen hen special. What is it you ask? A fan favorite...Round Hill Mini burgers!

Just like every other Monday: the doors will open at 4pm. The admissions window will open around 4:30. Early birds start at 6:30 and regular games begin at 7pm.

Please remember that we are all volunteers and have non fire related jobs or May work 8-4 or 9-5. Please be patient as not all of our volunteers can be there by 4pm. Want to apply to help? We always have applications handy! Make a difference!

The kitchen special for tomorrow will be baked potato bar, pulled pork, cold salads and sandwiches. NO DEEP FRYERS - please plan accordingly.

Since many have asked for details regarding the service for Elwood B. Patterson Sr, here are the details of the FULL FIREFIGHTER SERVICE WITH HONORS:

We are welcoming any Fire and Rescue company that wishes to have apparatus be part of the processional. The service will be Friday, April 17, 2026 at Wi******er Church of God at 11am and interment will be at Shenandoah Memorial Park. A reception will follow the interment at Round Hill Community Fire & Rescue Event Center, 141 Spinning Wheel Lane, Wi******er, VA
