Tell us where it is Thursday!

On July 29, 2026 a report was filed about the theft of a Craftsman riding lawnmower(pictured). The mower was taken from an address on Style Street in Wi******er. Its believed the theft occurred between Sunday and Wednesday of this week. If you know where this mower may be or who may have taken it, please contact Sergeant Detective Ryan Fuller with the Wi******er Police Department at 931-967-3840. An AMBER ALERT has been issued on behalf of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for 1-year-old Lilly Hill.

Lilly is 30 pounds and has black hair & brown eyes. She was last seen on Wednesday in Wi******er, TN and is believed to be with her non-custodial mother Kasey Hill, who has active warrants for Aggravated Kidnapping, Child Endangerment, and Felony Evading out of Franklin County.

They may be traveling in a 2017 blue Kia Sportage with TN tag 384BQVJ.

On Tuesday afternoon July 21, 2026 around 5:09 p.m., the Wi******er Police Department, Wi******er Fire Department, Priority Ambulance Service, and the Franklin County Rescue Squad were dispatched to the area of Tims Ford Lake near the Tims Ford Bass Club for a reported possible drowning. Once responding units arrived, two boaters were able to bring the victim to shore. The victim of the incident was pronounced deceased on the scene. Preliminary statements given advised that the victim's injuries were sustained from a boating incident on Tims Ford Lake. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency was notified and responded immediately. The TWRA is actively investigating the incident. During the early morning hours of July 17, 2026 a stolen vehicle report was filed with the Wi******er Police Department. A 2007 red Chrysler Town and Country Van with Tennessee tag 173BFSL was reported stolen and was allegedly taken by Landon Watkins. Mr. Watkins is alleged to be heading towards the Cookeville, TN area. On July 12, 2026 a report was filed with the Wi******er Police Department about a smoker that had been stolen from 216 Old Decherd Road in Wi******er. We have located Mr. Finchum. This morning around 6:55 a.m. Mr. Finchum was located, deceased, outside a residence on Country Club Road in Wi******er. We are investigating the circumstances of Mr. Finchum's death at this time. Currently, there are no signs of foul play but Mr. Finchum is being sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Nashville for further examination. If you have any information, please contact Detective Ryan Fuller with the Wi******er Police Department at 931-967-3840.

The Wi******er Police Department requests your assistance in locating missing person, Mr. Wayne Finchum. Mr. Finchum is 43 years old, 5ft 11in tall, 160 lbs. Mr. Finchum was last seen on July 7, 2026 around 1:30 p.m. in the area of Lynchburg Road and Style Street. Mr. Finchum is an insulin dependent diabetic and has some prior mental health issues. We ask if you see Mr. Finchum or know where he may be to notify the Wi******er Police Department so we can ensure he is safe and in good health. You may contact our agency at 931-967-3840.
