******Case Solved-Thank You Everyone!******

We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend. Unfortunately, someone's fun caused damage to the fence at the City Park soccer fields. Attached are a couple of clips where a small white, possibly S-10, pickup truck ran through the fence at the soccer fields. Minutes later, the truck was pulled out by a white four door truck with wheel lights. Pulling the truck out caused more damage. The whole incident caused a great amount of damage to the fence. If anyone knows the party(s) responsible, please contact the Wi******er Police Department at 931-967-3840 or you can report anonymously to Crimestoppers at 931-962-INFO(4636).

On Monday May 11,2026 the annual Police and Fire Memorial was held. This year the memorial celebrated its 30th anniversary. As a special tribute to those who have come and gone before us, small blue line and red line flags were placed around the memorial’s base symbolizing those that gave their life to service but did not pass in the line of duty. We were able to capture some flags in honor of the former officers that have served at the Wi******er Police Department.

In recent months, the Wi******er Police Department has received several complaints about various retailers in Wi******er selling va**ng products to minors under the age of 21. Last week our detectives conducted a sale to minor operation where we send a minor, verified to be under the age of 21, into establishments attempting to purchase va**ng products. These minors go in with their state issued identification that gives their true date of birth and are instructed that if asked, they disclose their true age. During this operation, 3 retailers out of 17 did sale va**ng products. Downtown V**e and Smoke, Mad Smoke and V**e, and Halfmoon Smoke Shop were the three retailers that did sale a va**ng product to a minor. The clerks at Halfmoon Smoke Shop and Mad Smoke and V**e were issued a citation in lieu of arrest into Franklin County General Sessions Court for selling a va**ng product to a minor. Downtown V**e and Smoke sold to a minor twice during last week's sale to minor operations. The clerk, identified as Attia Botros, was issued a citation in lieu of arrest on the first offense but was then taken into custody after the second offense. Under Tennessee State Law, a person under the age of 21 cannot purchase to***co or va**ng products. It is also illegal to purchase for or sale to individuals under the age of 21.

The annual Police and Firefighter's Memorial service will be held on May 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. on the South lawn of the Wi******er City Hall. This year's featured speaker will be Tullahoma Fire Chief, Kenneth Pearson. Since this is the service's 30th anniversary, at the conclusion of the service, we will have small blue line and red line American flags you may write your loved ones name on. This portion is so that many that have dedicated their life to service but did not die in the line of duty may be remembered. We encourage all to attend.

On Tuesday morning April 14, 2026 around 08:24 a.m., Wi******er Police were dispatched to the area of U.S. Highway 64 and Tennessee State Route 16 for a reported wreck with injuries involving an ambulance. An ambulance operated by Priority Ambulance Service was transporting a patient from a prior wreck with injury in Huntland when it was struck in the driver's side by a black Ram 3500 that was attempting to cross the intersection of Highway 64 and Highway 16.
