This is your city trash service, GFL, with an important update regarding your collection schedule for next week.

Due to the extreme heat index forecasted for next week, we will be starting our routes two hours earlier than normal. Our drivers may take longer to complete their routes, as we are encouraging them to prioritize safety and take the necessary precautions to prevent heat-related incidents.

To ensure a safe and efficient service for everyone, please set your trash out the night before your scheduled collection day.

Update: The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded the Boil Water Advisory for the City of Wi******er. Water testing has confirmed that the water is safe for normal use. You may resume using tap water for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth, and all other routine purposes. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the advisory.

Boil Water Advisory has been issued for the City of Wi******er due to low chlorine levels. While there is no evidence that the water is contaminated, inadequate chlorine levels can reduce the effectiveness of the disinfection process. As a precaution, we are following guidance from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).

Effective immediately and until further notice:

* Do NOT drink tap water unless it has been boiled for at least one (1) minute and allowed to cool.
* Use boiled or bottled water for:
* Drinking
* Making ice
* Brushing teeth
* Preparing food or beverages
* Taking medications

Water may continue to be used for:
* Bathing and showering (avoid swallowing water)
* Handwashing with soap and water
* Laundry
* Toilet flushing
* General cleaning, unless water is used in food prepar
