Our next Men's meeting will be Tuesday June 23 at 8:00 at the Community room at the County annex. It will be a breakfast meeting and the food will be furnished by some of our Republican Women.

I know how we men love to talk about National Politics -- What is Trump doing now?, What is happening in Iran?, Do we still have a majority in Congress?!, Is Cuba next on the list?...and on and on. I love it too. Tennessee is one of the most conservative States in America -- our U.S. Senators, our U.S. Congressional Reps, our Governor, and our State Legislature -- Republican -- and none of that is going to change any time soon as long as people like you and I keep our guard up and keep vetting our candidates and supporting them. The Tennessee State Republican Party would not even exist unless it was for the dozens and dozens of County Republican Party's like ours. Your Franklin County Republican Party is the largest and most active in Southern Middle Tennessee -- To keep it that way, it is vitally important that we communicate with each other through the various meetings that we have.

So please come.

Its an election year and there will be many LOCAL candidates at this meeting (there had better be!), It will be a good time to meet them informally, ask some questions, and get some answers. Our LOCAL elections are becoming more and more important as Franklin County has transitioned from Democrat control to Republican. The question might be asked "So, what is the difference now?" In case you don't know, LOCAL politicians can affect your pocketbook a whole lot more than others!

Our candidates will have an opportunity to BRIEFLY introduce themselves to the group. Following that, we will hear from the Chairman Pro Tempore of the County Commission, a member of Law Enforcement, and someone from the School Board.

Corporate America is going red.

A growing wave of companies are packing up headquarters, jobs and investment dollars and heading to Republican-led states with lower taxes, lighter regulation and cheaper operating costs.

One report found a Texas city alone gained 111 corporate relocations in seven years while a major California business hub lost 163 headquarters.

Dear FCRP

I have several important events to tell you about, but first I want to thank all the folks that
attended our Reagan Day a few weeks ago. We had a wonderful night listening to two
Gubernatorial candidates, Monty Fritts and John Rose. Marsha Blackburn had our own David
Alexander speak on her behalf. The weather was just right, the food was very good, and The
Honeysuckle event space is awesome. Thanks to all that helped make the night happen, and a
special thanks to our silent auction donors and bidders.
The next event is just for the ladies as they gather at 11:15 on June 10th in the large meeting
room at the FC annex. Ladies, bring a friend to enjoy a sandwich and good fellowship.
David Alexander is taking up the charge of starting a men’s group that will also meet in the
large room in the Annex. A breakfast is planned for the first meeting on June 23 at 8:00 a.m.
Men, please plan to attend and bring a friend. There will be good food and fellowship as well as
an opportunity to listen to a good speaker.
Please mark your calendars for our Ice Cream Social on July 16th at 6:30 at the Farmers’
Pavilion on the Dinah Shore Boulevard. This has been a ladies-only event in the past, but we
are including everybody this year. We will have plenty of ice cream with toppings. Please bring
a chair to sit and talk a while. There may be additional information in the coming days about
this event.
As always, I have to stress is the importance of voting. I’ve only ever missed one opportunity
to vote, but I still regret it! We have to make a concerted effort this fall to turn out the vote.
With the newly re-drawn congressional districts it is going to be more important than ever for
Republicans to vote. The Democrats have T.D.S. and are motivated to show up to vote against
ANYTHING Republican. The special congressional election to replace Mark Green illustrates
their determination. Even though they had a radical candidate, it was WAY closer than it should
have been. We HAVE to turn out and continue to support Scott DesJarlais!
Be looking for the direct mail piece we are planning for our local Republican candidates. There
will also be radio spots, newspaper ads and billboards. We will have an early voting tent in July
for the August election. Please let us know if you will be available as a volunteer to greet
voters.
Floyd Davis has volunteered his office as a place for candidates to drop off signs. You are
welcome to pick up the candidate’s sign you want to display, but please don’t take more than
one sign per candidate.
We hope you will be involved in our local party and plan to attend all of our upcoming events.

We would like to thank District Attorney Courtney Lynch for speaking at our Ladies Luncheon. Her presentation was incredibly informative, and we truly appreciated her taking the time to join us. As the first female to serve in this position, her leadership and accomplishments are inspiring. We had a wonderful time and are grateful for the opportunity to hear from her!
