Just a friendly reminder that socks are required for both children AND adults while enjoying our play area. 🧦

Why do we require socks?
✨ Helps keep our play space clean
✨ Protects little ones who crawl and explore on the floor
✨ Reduces germs and keeps everyone healthier
✨ Provides a safer play environment for all our guests

We know summer means sandals, flip-flops, and bare feet, so forgetting socks happens! No worries—we've got you covered. If you arrive without socks, you'll simply be required to purchase a pair before entering the play area.

We hope everyone had a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend! We are back in town and open for regular hours at Happy Playce!

You know what they say about some distance bringing some clarity? Before we left, we announced the possibility of selling Happy Playce. That post gained a lot of traction very quickly. I had some comments and messages of interest, some not so nice comments that had driven me to the point of wanting to sell in the first place, but mostly I got comments and messages of overwhelming support and requests to help in any way to keep Happy Playce. It was both overwhelming and humbling. I decided to take the weekend and pray on it, get some distance, and we’ve ultimately decided to give this another shot. Happy Playce will remain under current ownership, however some things have to change!

The number one thing that drove me to the decision to sell was time and community support (not money or profits as some of you may have thought!) Many of you reached out asking what you could do to help. Share the posts! Tell your friends, help support small businesses!

Second is a big one. I am only one person, so I need one of two things, I need more business in order to be able to hire someone part time 1-2x a week, or I need a list of trustworthy volunteers who'd like to volunteer once a week rotating with other moms to help. I know this is a big ask, I’m aware. However many of you reached out and offered so if you’d like to be added to a volunteer list, let me know. Includes free admission for the day to Happy Playce and a couple snacks 😄 This could potentially turn into a paid position if funds allow.

And finally we still want to expand! We want to build our loft spaces and create more fun but I NEED COMMUNITY SUPPORT. I have to be able to justify spending money on a $10k expansion plan (doing it ourselves!) So when we get ready, if any of you are handy at carpentry and want to volunteer, let me know ;)

I’m aware these are big asks. However it’s this or we reduce hours, sell, or close. Let’s try to band together and make this work! I don’t mind working for free if I have the community behind me to help build something we all believe in

1 year ago I started on a journey of small business ownership. I’ve had some struggles, I’ve shed some tears, but I’ve also made lifelong friends. Getting to know each and every one of you and your kids (and even their favorite sticker colors), has been one of the biggest blessings of my life.

That being said, circumstances have changed for our family and we have made the difficult decision to list Happy Playce for sale.

DOES THIS MEAN YOU’RE CLOSING?!

No! We will not be closing, we are simply looking for someone else to continue what we have been building on. I still whole heartedly believe in Happy Playce and the community around it, however I no longer feel as though it’s me who is meant to take it there. Happy Playce will continue to operate as it has.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

It means that if you want to come play (during regular business hours) then come play! Buy punch cards, buy memberships, buy day passses, we will still be here. However, if small business ownership and being the mom or dad with the coolest job in the world sounds like fun? Come talk to me.

ARE THE TOYS FOR SALE?

We have a few things we are interested in getting rid of but only for space reasons, we are NOT interested in parting out Happy Playce at this time.

We will not leave you guys hanging, we love our customers, and we love this business. We will continue to operate and serve you guys for as long as we can.

PS to my Henry and Lyndy fans, no worries, we will probably end up with a membership even if we no longer own it ;)
